Chapter 19
Brian's View
I walked in with AJ behind everyone else. Nick just grabbed Tiffany's hand and was leading her to the entrance. I was supposed to be the one holding Tiffany's hand. Why did she throw the note away? She does hate me. If she loved me anymore she would listen to me. I can't live with out her. I don't know what to do.
"Go to the 3rd floor to the end of the hall to your left," the front desk lady told us.
"Thank you," Kevin said.
We went to the floor and room that she told us to go to. AJ was supposed to go first and then Howie, then Kevin, then Nick and then I would go last. Nick was getting his make up and hair done right now and I was up next. How was I supposed to act around her? Will she shave my entire head and put lipstick on me? I really hope she wouldn't.
"Brian your up," Tiffany said looking at the ground.
I got up and walked slowly past her to the chair that we were supposed to sit in. I sat down and got comfortable. Tiffany came over and didn't look at me. She looked at my hair briefly and then took a comb and clippers. She started to snip at my hair and comb in lightly. She smelt so good. After she was done fixing my hair she picked up a light powder thing. I have no clue what the make up names are. I'm a man. I shouldn't even be wearing makeup but it just makes us look better in the pictures. She lightly patted by cheeks. Maybe if I make her smile she would talk to me. I made a goofy face and watched to see her reaction. She stopped and looked at me.
"Please keep still."
I wiped the goofy face off and finally decided to just say something.
"Tiffany?"
"Don't talk," she said.
"But I need to tell you something."
"Stop moving your face," she said patting my face again.
I pushed her hand away and looked into her eyes, "Please just listen to me."
"No! I don't want to hear anything that you have to say."
"Please?"
"No!"
"I don't want to lose you," I said softly.
"Well guess what? You already did."
I could feel the tears well up in my eyes.
"Look Brian can you please just leave me alone. You've hurt me enough," she said with tears coming to her eyes. She threw the powder stuff on the table and walked away. I watched as she left wanting to run after her but I knew it wouldn't help anything.
"Brian it's your turn," Nick said.
Back at the Hotel 1 and a Half Hours Later
Nick's View
"Nicky?" Tiffany asked.
"What Tiffy?"
"I need to ask you something."
I walked over to the bed and sat next to her, "shoot."
"Do you think I should listen to what Brian has to say?"
"I don't really know. Maybe you should," I lied. I didn't want her talking to Brian at all. I wanted her to end up with me and not Brian again.
"But I really think I should listen to him. I love him Nick and it hurts me to ignore him like this."
"Do you remember what he did to you?"
"Yes I do but just seeing him so depressed made me kind of feel sorry for him."
"I can't change the way you feel. Just follow your heart and that's where you'll be happiest."
"Thanks Nicky for helping me," she smiled lightly kissing me on the lips. She got up and left the room. That's going to be the last time that she'll ever kiss me on the lips.
Tiffany's View
I slowly walked to Brian room very nervous. My palms were getting sweaty and my heart began to pound. I lightly knocked on the door. After about a minute the door opened. Brian had red puffy eyes and flushed cheeks. He looked shocked to see me.
"Hi, um can we talk?" I asked quietly.
He smiled a bit and opened the door wider for me to come in. I walked into the bedroom and looked around. On the bed were crumpled up tissues and pictures of Brian and I. A black box was on the in table by his bed. He walked in behind me and started to pick the pictures up.
"I'm sorry the room looks like this," he said sniffling.
I got a kleenex and walked up to him. I put my hand on his, "It's OK."
He looked up at me and smiled a little bit. I handed him the kleenex and then sat down.
"Thanks," he said wiping his nose.
"I came here because I'm ready to listen to you."
He sat next to me not to close.
"Thank you for giving me a chance."
"I figured I should at least listen to waht you had to say about all of this."
" OK here it goes. Tiffany I didn't cheat on you and I never would. Leighanne was just helping me with our fight and she was using the shower. She was sleeping on the couch the entire time. I didn't even think about kissing her. My mind was always on you and about what you were doing or how you were doing. I love you and I can't live without you. Please forgive me."
"But why did you panic when she came out of the bathroom? If she were just a friend you would have acted normal."
"I was worried that you would jump to conclusions and that you would think I was cheating on you and guess what? You did."
"So you didn't cheat on me?"
"No, I could never do something like that to you. I love you to much."
"I love you too," I whispered.
"So are we back together?" he said hopeful.
"I hope so."
He broke out in a smile and hugged me tight.
"I've missed you so much," he said into my ear.
"I missed you too."
He pulled away and kissed me passionately. I kissed him back wanting more and more. What was I thinking? Nick is not even near this good of a kisser. He slowly pulled away and looked at me.
"Do you want your ring back?"
"Of course I do!" I said happily. He opened the box and took out my ring. I thought I saw something else in there but I just figured that I was seeing things. He slipped the ring on my finger and kissed my hand.
"Next time just make Leighanne go to another room," I lightly laughed.
"There isn't going to be a next time because I'm not ever going to go through that again! It was like hell!"
"Tell me about it!" I said.
"So what do you want to do?"
"Catch up," he said slyly.
"Catch up on what?"
