Chapter 22
Brian's View
In Los Angeles California
We walked off the plane slowly. All of us were tired but I promised Tiffany that I would talk to Nick so I had to do that before I fell asleep.
I let go of Tiffany's hand and said, "I'm going to talk to him now."
"OK," she smiled. She walked over to Kevin and hopped on his back. Tiffany loves getting piggyback rides from Kevin and he loves giving them to her. She's like the sister he never had. I looked behind me to find Nick walking slowly behind all of us.
"Hey Frack!" I said walking beside him.
"Hey," he said looking straight ahead.
"Look can we talk?"
"I guess, what about?"
"Um about the Tiffany thing and how I've been acting toward you."
Nick stopped and looked at me, "Why do you want to talk about that?"
"Because Tiffany told me that you would leave her alone and how you would be happy if she's happy."
"And?"
"Well I finally noticed what a jerk I've been and I want to apologize."
"Apologize? You apologizing?" he smirked.
"Hey I can be sensitive toward my friends can't I?" I said defensively.
"I was just jokin' B-Rok! Jeez I was never mad at you. I was just keeping my distance. I thought you were going to kick my ass after finding out that Tiffany and I were kissing."
"Well I was going to but I didn't want to waste my time and I don't want to waste my big muscles on such a puny guy."
"You are really strange you know that Bri?"
"I try my best! So we're friends right?"
"Duh and I thought I was dumb!"
"You thought you were dumb?"
"I didn't mean it like that! Nevermind!"
"Let's go children!" AJ said placing his hands on his hips and tapping his foot. "How many times have I told you not to wander off?"
"Haha! Very funny!" Nick said with a slight smile.
"Let's go before MOTHER gets any madder," I said emphasizing the mother part for AJ to hear.
"That's right! Let's go!" AJ said laughing.
At the Hotel
"So it looks like you and Nick are friends again," Tiffany said fixing her hair in the bathroom.
"Yep," I said jumping up and down on the bed.
"What are you doing?" she asked coming out of the bathroom.
"Releasing some energy," I said jumping up and down even more.
"You don't need to release any more energy and I thought you were tired?"
"I am but if I make myself even more tired I'll fall asleep more easily."
"You know what?"
"What?"
"I'm in a relationship with probably the weirdest guy alive."
"I know but you love me."
"Yeah I do," she said smiling.
"Want to join me little lady?"
"Sure," she said hopping on the bed and jumping up and down.
"Hey you two! We just got back and you couldn't contain yourselves!?" AJ said from the other side of the door.
Tiffany jumped off the bed and ran to the door swinging it open saying, "You know what McLean?"
"What?"
"You have a one track mind."
"Thanks! I'll take that as a compliment!" he said walking into the room.
"Hey Bri!" he said waving to me and then plopping down on the couch turning on some TV.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" I said a little confused.
"OH! Howie kicked me out! He said he wanted to be alone because he was to tired."
"Couldn't you have gone to Nick's," Tiffany asked sitting down next to AJ on the couch.
"Oh yeah! I forgot about him! Actually I heard you guys in here, I think you were jumping on the bed considering all your cloths are on, and I figured I could make fun of ya!"
"How sweet!" she said sarcastically.
I then sat next to her putting my arm around her shoulder and putting my head on her shoulder shutting my eyes, "You tired?"
I shook my head yes and put my head in her lap lying down. She started to stroke his hair lightly.
Tiffany's View
"You guys are to perfect together you know that?" AJ said smiling at us. I just smiled at him and Brian just mumbled, "Mmm hmm."
"I'll leave you two love birds alone and go bother little Nicky. Knowing him he's probably eating or playing his precious Nintendo," AJ said getting up.
"See ya later," I said.
"See ya," he said leaving the room and closing the door quietly.
"Want to go in the bed?" I asked Brian.
"No, I like it right here," he said.
"You are to cute."
"So are you," he softly said.
"Want a blanket?"
"Sure, just get on top of me."
"Very funny," I said lifting his head and walking over to the closet. I pulled out a blanket and went back to Brian who looked like he had fallen asleep. I put the blanket on him and kissed him on the forehead. I whispered 'I love you' and then went to the bathroom to take a shower.
Brian's View
I smiled as she said 'I love you'. She really does care for me a lot. I know I can make her happy and support her if we got married. I can just picture it now. Five kids running around the house with me teaching our sons how to play basketball or football and then Tiffany cleaning or cooking or teaching our daughters to dance. I would love to spend the rest of my life with her. I really love her a lot and I know we are meant to be together.
Tiffany's View
I got out of the shower and put a pair of jean shorts and a white tank top on. I blew dry my hair and put it in a ponytail. I put a little eye shadow and lip gloss on along with Nick's necklace that he gave me, the ring Brian gave me and my bracelet that I got from Steven a long time ago. I put some Keds on with no socks and walked out of the bathroom. Brian was on the couch smiling. He was so cute. I grab my purse and went over to Brian and kissed him on the lips lightly. I wrote a quick note, left it on the bed, and then headed to Nick's room. I knocked and after a couple of minutes Nick opened the door.
"Hey Nicky!" I said.
"Hey Tiffy! What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Brian right now?"
"He's sleeping and I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me around the town. I've never been here before and I wanted to look round."
"I'd love to go with you! Just let me get my wallet," he said disappearing for a few seconds and then coming back. He closed the door and took my hand; "Let's go!"
