Chapter 32
(Next morning @ Kevin's and Celine's New House)
"Gosh think this place could get bright enough?" Celine muttered getting
up.
Celine went into the kitchen and grabbed a soda and bagel. Today was her
25th birthday and she was all alone. On her 24th she had sworn to never spend
another birthday alone. At that moment it looked as if she was lying to herself.
There was a knock at the door.
"Yes?" Celine asked opening the door
There stood a dark haired man with sun glasses on and no goattee.
"Yes Celine Richardson I'd like to speak with." The guy said
"Kevin?" Celine screamed
"Yep it's me," Kevin said picking her up "Happy birthday."
"How did you get here?" Celine asked
"It's called directions." Kevin said smiling
"You look great you got rid of the goattee!" Celine smiled
"I thought I'd surprise you." Kevin said smiling
"Well this is the house," Celine laughed "I Hope you like it?"
"It's nice from what I see so far," Kevin said "Where's the pool?"
"Out back," Celine said laughing "It's too cold to use now one adjustment
to make."
"Yeah well it'll be inclosed by next year believe me." Kevin laughed
"So did you bring me furniture?" Celine asked
"No but Brian actually is going to take most of it," Kevin said "So we can
go pick out new if you wanna."
"Thank goodness," Celine exclaimed "This is the most uncomfortable sofa sleeper
I have ever slept on!"
"Go get ready and we will leave." Kevin motioned
"Alright I love you so much you do know that don't you?" Celine asked
"Yes birthday girl I do," Kevin said "Later I have a surprise for you."
"Sounds good." Celine smiled as she went to change
Celine grabbed her favorite jeans, her Polo Jeans and her polo sweater. She
pulled her hair back into a pony tail and slipped on her glasses that she
occasionally wore when she was tired or sick.
"Whoa nice glasses." Kevin said laughing
"Stop making fun of me," Celine pouted "I look very sophisticated right?"
"Yes my angel you do." Kevin said "Lets go please."
"Woohoo I get to pick out furniture." Celine said happily
"Who knew I'd marry someone this exciting." Kevin laughed
Celine and Kevin drove to the closest store looking for furniture. They went
to Ethan Allan and picked out a family room suit and a master bedroom suit.
They then headed to another store and found some bedrooms suits for the other
four bedrooms. They also picked out a kitchen table and chairs and furniture
for the study. Everything was basically furnished in the house other than
curtains and pictures. That would have to come later.
(Later that evening)
Phone starts ringing
"Hello?" Celine answered
"Hey is Kevin there?" The guy asked
"Yes just a moment may I ask who's calling?" Celine asked
"It's Tim."
"Oh hey Tim what's up?" Celine asked
"Not much but can I please speak with Kevin?" Tim begged
"Sure he's setting up the bedroom," Celine laughed "It's so funny to see
him reading directions."
"Oh ok." Tim replied
"Hold on," Celine said covering the phone "KEVIN YOUR BROTHER IS ON THE PHONE."
Celine hung up the phone. She went about her business and started to unpack
some of the new furniture. Kevin came down the stairs.
"Baby is there a coffee shop or anything around here?" Kevin asked
"Um yeah take I think the main road out take a left and then go straight
and you'll find one." Celine said smiling
"Alright thanks." Kevin said kissing her cheek
Celine went back to packing. She had turned 25. That was scaring her more
than ever. What do twenty five year old married women do? Hopefully Kevin
was going to take her out later tonight. About an hour Kevin's car pulled
in the driveway.
"Hey Kevin took you long enough." Celine yelled out the door
Out stepped Tim, Gerald, Anne, Christina, Nick, Brian, and AJ.
"Oh my gosh!" Celine screamed "You guys came here?"
"Yep babe we did." Nick said hugging her
"I missed you all so much!" Celine said hugging Christina "It's so lonely
here."
"Hey Beautiful." Aj said smiling "Happy birthday."
"Hey AJ Thanks You look different." Celine said
"Hair color that's why." Aj laughed
"Hey gorgeous." Brian said as his eyes glistened
"Hey I missed you the most." Celine said laughing "I seriously missed being
pestered."
"When can he move in?" Aj asked laughing
"Hey Tim and Gerald." Celine said hugging each of them "and wow my favorite
all time person in the world, Anne"
"Hey sweetie how are ya?" Anne asked
"Pretty darn good," Celine said "I'm gonna love my husband forever for doing
this!"
"He called and said you were lonely and arranged for us to come out here
on a short notice," Nick said "and we decided we'd all take you out to dinner
and then go away."
"Where is Howie?" Celine asked puzzled
"At Krysten's where else?" Christina asked "She flipped on me the last night
of the tour and quit."
"Not uh?" Celine asked
"Yes she just flipped out for some reason and I honestly have no clue why."
Celine said "So she left and I told Howie that I'm sorry that she had to
do it to me and he just blows me off."
"That's so unlike Howie," Celine said "He was acting weird the other day
when he brought me here."
"Yeah well that's when he found out that she quit and was on her way home."
Christina said "I'm now searching for a new dancer."
"Okay enough about work," Tim said laughing "We need to all go help unpack
their furniture."
"Geez I'm glad you guys came." Celine said laughing
"Boys." Anne muttered "Can't live with them and can't live without them."
"You so have that right." Celine and Christina replied in unison
They all finished packing and all sat down in the family room.
"So has anyone talked to half of the Matte family lately?" AJ asked
"My parents don't even know where I am," Celine said laughing "Mom is her
usually "I'm too good for you", Marie is probably somewhere loafing, Tes
is who knows where."
"You haven't talked to Tes?" AJ asked
"Not since a while ago." Celine said
"I called her and got some guy on the phone who said she wasn't around."
Aj said "I'm worried seriously."
"Tes is a big girl," Celine said "She can handle her own problems."
"What the heck is up with you?" AJ asked
"Nothing My family has just gone crazy and I don't want to be a part of it
AJ." Celine sighed
"Major problems with everyone?" AJ asked
"I know where Tes and and you really don't want to know AJ." Celine said
"Just drop it."
"NO I NEED TO KNOW WHERE SHE IS." AJ screamed
"Don't scream at my wife that way." Kevin said stepping in
"AJ Tes isn't going to be coming around anytime soon to see you," Celine
moaned "She's got a new boyfriend, a life, and I'm sure that you'll see her
with him from time to time."
"Who is she with?" AJ demanded
"She's with Chris from N'Sync." Celine sighed "Promise to let her alone?"
"I'm going too," AJ said "I'm glad she finally found someone for her."
"You aren't going to flip a quarter?" Celine asked
"No I'm glad now I can date again feeling satisfied." AJ said
"Well I am gonna go get ready," Celine said "Christina can you please come
with and help pick out an outfit?"
"Sure definetly." Christina said laughing at Nick's face
"Hurry up." Nick yelled "I need help too."
"You need mental help." Celine yelled back as she ran up the stairs
(In the master bedroom)
"So are you and Nicky ever gonna get married?" Celine asked
"I don't know," Christina said laughing "He's so unmotivated sometimes I
just want to run away."
"Isn't that how all of those five are?" Celine asked
"Not Kevin," Christina said shaking her head "He gosh is so motivated and
knows what he wants just like you."
"Correct me if I am wrong but aren't you the one who is singing about "What
a girl wants?" Celine asked
"Shut up!" Christina bursted out laughing "Everybody says that!"
"Touchdown Celine!"
"You're a loser." Christina said laughing "So what clothes did you bring?"
"Well I was thinking this." Celine said pulling out a black long knee length
skirt and a semi colored long sleeve fitting shirt
'That is so awesome." Christina said "Wear that!"
"Are you sure it's not too much for Kevin's family?" Celine asked
"It's fine Celine," christina said "Hey I heard Kevin and Nick in the car
talking about kids, it was hillarious."
"What were they saying?" Celine asked paying attention
"Kevin was like talking about how he can't wait to have a baby," Christina
said "Nick said "Gosh a kid like Celine you're in trouble." and Nick started
on how he wants a kid and he's only friggin 20!"
"Go figure." Celine said "He doesn't ever talk to me about having kids."
"Probably because he knows you don't want any now." Christina asked
"Yeah well it's too hard right now," Celine said "I'm way far from ready
too."
"You're not getting younger." Christina laughed
"Stop Encouraging" Celine said hitting her
"What should I wear?" Christina said opening her suit case
"Why's your suitcase in our room?" Celine asked puzzled
"I just threw it in here." Christina said laughing
"Wear the black skirt and that peach top." Celine said pointing
"Great the oh SO dreaded outfit." Christina said laughing
The girls finished getting dressed and they all headed out to dinner at a
restaurant. They all arrived back @ the house around 2 am.
