Chapter 11
Back at the House
Brian's View
"I'm so sorry! We should have never gone to the mall.
I should have know better," I said. We just got home from the mall and Tiffany's
not in a good mood. She just put Michelle to bed and now we were in our bedroom
getting ready for bed. Well, we did get out of that huge crowd only because
mall security made all the girls leave. I felt so bad for what happened
today.
"Well next time I'm not going and neither is Michelle,"
Tiffany said while taking off her dress and throwing it in the laundry
basket.
"I'm not going to do that again," I said taking my
cloths off until I was only in my boxers. She put on her flannel pants and
her tank top and then put her hair up in a messy bun.
"That was scary today Brian. I mean Michelle could
have seriously been hurt," she said looking at me. I walked over to her and
put my hands on her hips and kissed her lightly on the lips.
"I know and I'm very sorry," I said looking into her
eyes. She looked at me and smiled.
"I love to see you smile," I smiled. She kissed me
on the lips and then turned and got into bed. I got in too and turned off
the light. I wrapped my arm around her waist and whispered in her ear, "I
love you and good night."
"Love you too," she said quietly. I closed my eyes
and I soon fell into a deep sleep.
The Next Morning
I opened my eyes to the sound of someone throwing up.
I looked down and found that Tiffany wasn't in my arms. I got up and walked
to the bathroom to find Tiffany sitting on the ground resting her head on
the toilet seat. I walked over to her and bent down.
"Are you OK?" I asked moving a piece of hair out of
her face. She just moaned and got up.
"I'll be fine," she said.
"OK," I said.
An hour has passed and Tiffany, Michelle and I decided
to go down to the beach. Nick and Darlene are going to meet us there. It's
really nice outside and Michelle wanted to go down to see the water. Molly,
our dog, came with us. She's not Tyke but I still love her. She makes me
laugh with how she's so wild.
"Hey guys!" Darlene smiled coming up to us with Nick
right behind her.
"HEY!" Tiffany smiled.
"Hi guys," Nick smiled.
"HI," I said.
"How are you today Tiffany?" Darlene asked.
"Pregnant," Tiffany laughed. I just smiled as Nick
and Darlene chuckled.
"Uncle Icky? Will you go in the water with me?" Michelle
asked.
"Yeah c'mon," Nick said picking up Michelle and running
toward the water. I just smiled. I didn't want to get wet yet. I just wanted
to sit under the warm sun.
"Tiffany?" Darlene said looking at Tiffany.
"Yeah?" Tiffany said while putting sun block on her
legs. Darlene bent over and whispered something in her ear. Tiffany then
just stopped putting sun lotion on and looked straight ahead with wide eyes.
She looked at Darlene and mouthed 'Really?'
Darlene just nodded her head.
"Um may I ask what you guys are talking about? I feel
left out," I said. Darlene and Tiffany looked at me and Tiffany said, "I'll
tell you later."
"Fine," I said folding my arms across my chest and
sticking out my bottom lip. Tiffany leaned over and kissed my lips. She smiled
and got up along with Darlene. They then walked off toward the house. Molly
got up from her spot in the sand and ran after them. HOW RUDE! I want to
know what they were talking about. I'm very nosey I know but I can't help
it. The look on Tiffany's face showed everything. Something big is up and
I'm going to find out and I know the best way to get that information out
of Tiffany's mouth. Tonight is going to be fun.
