Chapter 5
Nick's POV
When Na and I stepped in the door, she yelled, "What the hell?" and rightly so. The stereo was blasting and the apartment was lit up like a Christmas tree.
"Smooth AJ," I muttered as the music lowered, and Kris appeared in the doorway. Her face was pink, but she was grinning like mad at Na. I glanced at Na, and the look on her face was absolutely priceless.
"Krissy!" she screamed once her speech returned, and then they were both screaming and hugging.
"Oh my lord, I missed you!"
"Same here! You look so good, girl! What have you been up to?" and the like. Suddenly, AJ appeared in the door, a confused look on his face.
"Hey Bone, wassup?" I called, edging my way around the two hysterical girls. Bone looked at me, and I thought kind of startled, but I passed it off.
"Nothing man. Isn't this great? Why don't we call the others and see if they wanna..." He was interrupted by the doorbell, and I headed back towards the door, muttering, "It's probably the landlord complaining about us being too loud." I opened the door, but to my surprise there was Kevin and Howie D.
"Hey man, does Na know yet?" ha asked, and that was when Na and Kris started screaming again.
"That
answer your question? C'mon in guys, it's party time!" I yelled and everyone
wholeheartedly agreed. *
*3rd Person*
The guys stayed late into the night, eating pizza, watching movies and talking.
Kevin and Howie D. left around 2, while Nick and AJ decided to just go home
the next morning. *
Kevin got home around 2:30 am, yawning as he quietly locked up and headed for
bed. He practically jumped when a voice called from the family room, "So,
how was clubbing cuz?" Kevin saw Brian sprawled on the couch, watching
'Die Hard 3'.
"Pretty good, but we ended up at Na's. Brian, you do know Kris is back, don't you?" Kevin asked, just to be sure. Brian grunted.
"Yeah, I know. I already had a fight with her and made her cry." Kevin sighed, then took a seat in a comfortable chair.
"Man, I would at least try to forgive and be friends with her Brian! I know you've got Leighanne, but you two used to be such good friends," Kevin commented. Brian snorted, then replied slowly, "Leighanne broke up with me today, after the shoot." Kevin grimaced.
"Man, I'm sorry.. but honestly, you weren't happy with her. You were miserable, whether you realized it or not." Brian eyed him, surprised.
"Ya know, she told me that too. That as much as I wanted it to be, I wasn't happy. She didn't know why, she couldn't, but it still hurts man. So, do you seriously think I should try to be friends with her again, Kevin? Is it worth it? I don't wanna be hurt again, I won't be able to take it."
"Brian, only you know the answer. Don't forget, though, you hurt her too. You walked out on her too, man. G'night!" Kevin said as he got up, yawning. Brian sat and stared at nothing for the longest time, then got up and picked up his guitar, and played out a few chords to a song he was working on. *
