Chapter One

"Ahh! Stop!" screamed Nadia, as Melissa almost tickled her to death.

"Oh, no, you asked for it sister!" replied Melissa.

Nadia and Melissa had been best friends since kindergarten, and they knew each other completely. They knew what to say when to say it, and they also knew what the other was thinking before they said it. Basically, they were almost twins! They had just graduated from S. H. Crater High school in Kentucky, and much to their parent's dismay, they decided to take a year off, and move down to Florida, and during the year, look for a school there. Nadia's cousin, Jeff, was on his way over to help them move all their junk down to Florida.

"Wait, wait! What did I do?" Nadia gave a hurt look to Melissa, as she released her grip.

"Nadi, I was only playin' girl!"

"I know! Haha!" she cried as she took off running across the lawn.

They were so completely waiting to get away from it all, they just couldn't wait until Jeff got there. "Honk! Honk!"

"Oh! There's Jeff's truck! Hurry! Go, go, go!" yelled Melissa. They got into their own car, kissed their families good-bye, promised to call and write ten thousand times as soon as they got there, and finally, they were around the corner and gone.

"Oh, man! I feel so great! Hehe, I can't wait for Orlando! They say they have some great rides there, and the people are very friendly, and there's one of everything on every corner!"

Almost simultaneously they both screamed, "DISNEY WORLD!"

"OH! And I can't wait until we see Christina and Michely again!" said Melissa.

"Oh man I know, I've missed them so much! How long has it been? What, 2, 3 years? They do know we're coming down right?" asked Nadia.

"Yeah, I called them up on Monday, and this morning to remind them. They can't wait either! Oh man, you know what? Maybe in the future they'll move in with us! The guy told me the house was huge, and they have been complaining for a long time that they want to move out of their houses."

Christina and Michely were Nadia and Melissa's other best friends. All four of them had known each other from kindergarten as well, and were extremely close, until one day, both families of Christina and Michely had to move to Florida on account of business. Their fathers worked together and both families were sent to the same city. They missed each other terribly, despite the high phone bills and tons of mail each girl received. However, this, they felt, was gonna be a great year! All four of them together once again, and possibly living together and attending the same school.

"What a kick! If they live with us and go to the same college and everything, it will be so dope! Ahh! I can't wait!" yelped Nadia. "I am definitely feeling Florida. Orlando is gonna kick ass! Yay!"

::4 hours and 45 minutes later::

"Man what a long drive! I thought it would never end." remarked Melissa as they pulled into the driveway.

"Is this it? 937 NW 86 CT?"

"Um, yeah hold on, I'm pretty sure it is." Nadia reached into the glove compartment and pulled out a small brochure.

"Yup, this is it. Wow, it looks even better in real life. Oh man I can't wait!"

"Hey! You got the girls' addresses too, right?"

"Yup. Got 'em right here." Nadia said, patting her jeans pocket. "Man, can't Jeff hurry up? He was right behind us on the freeway. Wonder what's taking him so long."

"Well, I told you to get the key from him! It's our house anyway, but I guess we're stuck outside now until he gets here."

Nadia just grumbled, "Whatever. As long as it's today when we get inside."

They sat down on their front porch to wait for Jeff.

"Whoo, baby, girl check out that hottie across the street. Man his hair matches the color he should be. Red Hot! What a cute redhead." said Melissa, glancing across the street at their new neighbor.

"That's not red chica, that's like a dirty blonde."

"Oh whatever, just check him out. Isn't he fine?" remarked Melissa, not once taking her eyes off him.

The guy across the street was washing his Jeep, while blasting music from inside it. Nadia couldn't make out the words, but it sounded like a cute jingle. She liked the melody it had. "That's a cute tune." she remarked. But Melissa wasn't paying attention. She still hadn't taken her eyes off the guy across the street. "Girl, if he sees you drooling like that I will kill you from embarassment."

"Oh shush, I'm not drooling." She checked just in case.

"OH! Nadi, look at that guy that just walked out. Oh my god what a HOTTIE!"

"GIRL! Chillax, he might hear you! But yeah he is fine!" Another guy walked out of the house. He was wearing an undershirt and some black jeans, and the undershirt showed all the millions of tattoos he seemed to have. He had a bunch of rings, his hair was maroon-colored, and he was wearing this weird necklace that looked like bones. But he was still fine! Just then, the red-headed, dirty-blonde guy looked over at them, and so did the maroon-colored one. They smiled at them and the girls looked away and blushed hoping that they couldn't see it from that far.

Then, the maroon-colored guy said something to the red-head, and then got into a black Mercedes parked on the grass, away from the squirting hose. When that guy left, the red-head walked towards them. Melissa was freaking out. "Nadi, oh my god he's heading this way. Ok now shut up!" she tried to whisper as the smiling redhead walked up their driveway.

"Hey, girls. Wassup? I see you're sitting here staring at, well, across the street. I was wondering, are you girls locked out or something?" Melissa was staring at him dreamily. 'Wow.' She thought, 'What a nice dreamy accent.'

"Um, no. Actually, we're moving in today, and well, we left the key with my cousin who is bringing all our stuff, and he hasn't gotten here yet. We don't know what's taking him so long since he was right behind us." Nadia piped up.

He just grinned a silly grin that made Melissa want to melt. "Oh well that explains why I've never seen you girls around. Would you like to wait over at my lovely establishment across the street? I'm just washing my Jeep, it was long overdue." he said, pointing to his half-soaped Jeep.

Melissa gave Nadia a pleading look, and Nadia knew that if she said no, Melissa would have her head. "Thanks, we'd love to. Our friends are coming by however, so we'll stay outside to see when my cousin and friends get here."

"Sure, no problem. In the meantime, I can get to know my new neighbors."
