Chapter Sixteen
The month went by all too quickly for the 4 couples, and soon, the guys had to leave on their world tour for "Millennium." No matter how hard the girls tried to hide their sadness, the guys knew them too well and could see through to it. They didn't want the girls to suffer with them being gone. The guys pleaded with their management, as well as to the girls to come with them on tour. Basically they had hope, but most knew it was impossible. Sure, the tour bus did have room, but Donna's main point of view was that they'd be distracted when it came to their shows. That was the only thing keeping her from allowing the guys. Then, the girls reason was that they were looking for a job, and had applied to a few schools for next year. They didn't think they could leave their belongings, and their new dachshund dog that AJ got for Michely as a surprise. She named him Starburst (actually he did), because he was speckled in white, tan and brown colors. The guys pleaded with them, telling them that they can leave the dog with AJ's mom, Denise, who wasn't going to go on this tour overseas yet. She would be going with them for the States and South America tour. Their mail can also be received, and basically that everything would be alright. The girls would have loved to, and in the end, how could they say no to those pleading puppy-dog eyes that AJ and Howie had, and that little ducky's eyes that Brian possesses, and the beautiful emerald-green eyes that Kevin can make you melt with.
Now the only deal was with Johnny and Donna. The couples had to convince them that there weren't going to be any distractions, and that if any occurred, the girls can go back home. They tried over and over again to convince their management, right up until the day before they had to leave. Donna, after a while, got tired of all the nonsense, and finally said yes. The cheers that have come from the office of Donna Wright topped all the screams received at a concert. (The girls were there too, figures.) The guys took the girls home, and the girls hurried to pack. They were OVERLY excited and couldn't wait to leave.
"I've never been outside Florida! And to see France and all those places with AJ....wow!" exclaimed Michely thinking about her and AJ on a French beach, not of course, the French Riviera, but somewhere along the lines.
"Me neither! I can't wait! Oh, man this is gonna be so cool! And to spend it with the people we love the most..." Melissa sighed.
We were out of breath from running around the house, of course packing just the "necessary" objects. (Everything in the house). Their suitcases piled up 1 and 2 and even 3 suitcases, filled of course, with JUNK. But that's how girls are, it's our one-of-a-kind nature. The guys had been packed up for about 3 weeks now, and everyday they stuffed something new into their bulging suitcases. The guys slept over at the girls' house, and then Nick slept at Kevin's house across the street, with his girlfriend, because she was able to go to make it all fair for all couples. They all went to sleep early, around 8:30 pm, for they had to wake up at 4:00 am to load everything on.
"I'm not going to be very pretty in the morning at that hour..I'm gonna be half-alive, yet half-dead..."mumbled AJ to Michely in his sleep.
All she could do was giggle at that stupid remark. 'I don't mind seeing you messed up, as long as I wake up beside you.' she thought.
Brian looked down at Melissa and smiled. "Four o'clock in the morning? The sun isn't even out yet!" Melissa remarked, making Brian laugh. Brian lied back down putting his arm around her. As they lied facing left, embracing each other. Brian whispered,
"Answer me one thing..." Melissa looked back at Brian's mischievous face.
"Do you love me?" She threw her head back to touch Brian's cheek with hers,
"Forever and more..." she kissed him and turned back around listening to him breath.
Kevin sat on the bed and stared at Christy. She smiled and sat up stretching a little to reach his face. She traced the shape of his lips with her finger and lied back onto the bed. He scooted to her and stared into her deep, brown eyes. He smiled pleasantly and kissed her on the forehead. She held him close thinking of how she got mad about him telling the truth and that she was going to lose him. She laughed to herself and Kevin sat up.
"Do you love me?" she asked looking at his face react to such a stupid question.
"No..." she looked up ready to slap him. "I adore you." He laid down beside her and wrapped his arms around her.
Meanwhile, Howie was slow dancing with Nadia....there was no music playing so they didn't keep a pace. She laughed at his jokes and laid her head on his strong shoulder. 'What a night.' she thought to herself. Howie stopped dancing and sat on the bed. He was looking at her just stand there.
"What ya looking at?" she said laughing. He pulled her towards her and kissed her on the cheek.
"You sweetheart." She almost melted right there. They laid on the bed together just loving the moment of them being together...alone.
He whispered, "Where ever I go, whatever I do, my heart stays with you." That made her hold tighter and kiss all over his face.
At dawn they all met downstairs half asleep. It was still dark and everyone was still groggy. AJ was mumbling something to himself when he was making coffee for everybody. Howie stared out the window and turned to look at Nadia and smiled at the sight of how eager she looked. Christina was half asleep on the counter, her head resting on Kevin's shoulder. Brian was staring at the clock waiting for it to stop ticking any day now. Melissa was staring at AJ making coffee. Michely smiled at the sight of AJ fighting with the coffee machine.
"I can't wait." Michely said to him. He grinned at her and mumbled under his breath when a little bit of coffee finally came out.
"Donna's gonna meet us here with the buses and stuff, right?" Kevin asked. He woke up Christy who looked around and fell back to sleep. He just chuckled at the sight. Christy didn't understand how Nadia was so alive and perky, she was like her. They were not morning people. Christina thought of Michely's funny pajama that read 'Punish the Perky!' with a hot cup of coffee about to be poured onto a very perky cow. AJ slid a cup of coffee to Howie and then to Michely. He had to wait for the blasted machine to make more coffee. That made him groan some more. After they had their coffee they went to get their luggage together.
"You packed your whole house!" AJ told Michely when she brought out this huge suitcase.
"Well Howie has a cosmetic shop in his!" Nadia pointed at Howie and smirked. Brian and Melissa laughed hysterically and walked outside. The rest of the guys followed.
"What a beautiful morning! I can't wait!" Melissa told Brian holding his
arm and jumping up and down. Nadia and Howie were busy looking at each other
then looking at the sky. AJ and Michely were giving small pecks on the lips,
then looking at the sky. Kevin and Christy were holding each other and kept
on whispering things to each other. She turned to him and kissed him. Nick
showed up from across the street with his girlfriend. We all exchanged hello's.
And then the buses arrived. The guys helped by carrying the girls luggage
into the bus. They were excited, they didn't know what to expect...
