Chapter 27
5 Hours Later
Danielle's View
Darlene, Colleen, and I walked out of the terminal and looked around into the faces of the crowd. Kevin and Brian were supposed to come pick us up.
"Dani!" I turned my head and found Brian waving frantically at me with a huge grin plastered on his face.
"Bri!" I squealed rushing over to him. I hugged him tight and kissed him on the cheek, "Long time no see."
"Yeah really, you look..." he began looking me over.
"I look what?" I asked. He smiled up at me and said, "As beautiful as ever Sis!"
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Hey Girl, it's nice to see you," Kevin said pushing Brian out of the way. I hugged him and said, "It's nice to see you too."
"How are you girls doing?" he asked as Darlene and Colleen joined us.
"We're doing just fine and dandy, how are you guys?" Darlene asked as she gave them both a hug.
"We're fine, I'm just a bit nervous," Brian said stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"That's understandable," Colleen nodded. "Anyways! Where's Nicky? I was hoping he'd come with you guys."
"He's at the hotel getting fit for his Tuxedo," Kevin explained. "He would have been here if he was able to. He's eager to see you."
She just smiled.
"OK, lets get going," Darlene said. We headed over to baggage claim, picked up our bags, and then headed out of the airport.
"What are we doing today anyway?" I asked as Kevin opened the van door.
"Elizabeth wants you guys to try on your dresses and everything," Brian said climbing into the van.
"Ohhh, what do they look like?" I asked sitting next to him in the van.
"You'll see," he smiled. I just nodded.
An Hour Later
"You girls ready?" Elizabeth asked as she closed the door behind us.
"Yeah, totally!" Colleen smiled sitting down on one of the chairs. Elizabeth then went over to a closet and pulled out 3 hangers with the dresses attached to them.
"Oh my gosh! They're so pretty!" Darlene exclaimed walking over to Elizabeth and looking them over. She handed a dress to Darlene, then to Colleen, and then she came over to me and smiled.
"I get to wear that?" I asked looking at the dress she was holding.
"Yup, isn't it beautiful? I couldn't help but get them for the brides maids. They were expensive but hey it's totally worth it," she said as she handed it over. I took it and ran my hands over the material.
"Well, what are you girls waiting for? Go try them on!" Elizabeth urged. All three of us then went to separate rooms to change.
15 Minutes Later
Elizabeth squealed with delight and we all walked back into the room. Sophia was now in the room and she smiled as we came in.
"You guys look so beautiful! I've seen Sophia in it already but seeing all of you in it is just so cool!" she smiled coming over and looking us over. I walked over to the mirror and smiled. It really was a pretty dress. It was a light pink spaghetti strap dress. It was tight at the top and where the bottom of your bra is, it went totally free. The bottom part has two layers of material. The very bottom material was made out of a pink silk, it was a slightly darker pink then the material over it. The fabric over the silk was a see through light pink fabric that had glitter worked into it. It showed off my curves perfectly. The shoes that came with it were pink clogs that also had glitter. The whole outfit was beautiful.
"Do you like it?" Elizabeth asked standing next to me. I smiled over at her and nodded, "Yeah! I love it."
"You can keep it," she said.
"I can?" I asked.
"Of course! What am I supposed to do with it? And besides, it's not my size, it's yours. So technically it's your dress and shoes," she said.
"Thank you so much," I said hugging her. She just laughed lightly.
"I think that's all I need from you guys today. You guys gotta wake up at 6 in the morning tomorrow to get your hair and make up done, is that all right?" she said. We all just nodded our heads.
"By the way, we're on the 6th floor and all the guys are on the 7th. I'm not supposed to see Brian before the wedding so we decided that having two separate floors would help."
"Good idea," Darlene said.
"Anyways, I gotta get going to the church to see what's up there. I'll see you girls in the morning," she smiled. We hugged her good-bye and then took our dresses off getting into our normal clothes.
"What are you guys going to do today?" I asked as I tied my shoe and stood up picking up the box with my shoes inside and my dress.
"I'm gonna go and hang with Nicky," Colleen said.
"I'm just gonna hang out in my room and watch some movies or something," Darlene shrugged. "What are you going to do?"
"I don't know, I'll think of something," I said. "I'll catch you guys later."
"Later," they said. I waved to them and then left the room. I dropped my things off in my room and then decided to just walk around and look at the shops. I would normally go spend time with Brian but he's busy getting ready for the wedding, I didn't feel like bugging him. So for the rest of the afternoon, I just went shopping alone. What a way to spend the day before the man you love gets married huh?
The Next Morning
"Get up! Get up!" Sophia marched in pulling back the curtains and facing me. I flinched from the sun light and groaned stuffing my pillow in my face.
"5 more minutes," I said.
"Nuh uh, come on!" She said pulling back the sheets and pulling the pillow off my head.
"Sophia! The wedding isn't until 1! I have plenty of time to get ready!" I said.
"Well, no, you gotta eat breakfast, get dressed, get your hair done and make-up done, then you gotta go to the church and help Elizabeth get ready, then..."
"OK, OK, I get the idea," I mumbled rolling out of bed.
"I'll meet you downstairs in 45 minutes," she said and then left the room. I dragged myself over to the bathroom and turned the light on. I looked in the mirror and frowned...today was the day...the day where millions of girls dreams are shattered...including mine.
