Chapter 2
Jen and Julie were sunbathing at the beach, and talking about things. Mrs. Morgan was watching Jayson, so they didn't have to worry about him. Jen was leaving that evening after dinner, so she thought that her and Julie could spend some time together, just the two of them. They were both caught up in a converstation and giggling when they felt a ball land inbetween the both of them. Jen and Julie shot up in a sitting position to see what hit them. Jen started laughing because they didn't know where the ball came from.
"Ummm...excuse me miss, thats my ball." Someone said, taping Jen on the shoulder, which cause her to jump.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Here ya g-...Nick?"
"Jen?" He asked, lifting down his sunglasses to make sure it was her.
"What are you doing here?" They bouth asked at the same time. Jen was now standing.
"Well...me and the guys came to hang out for a few hours, and we're playing some volleyball right now."
"Ohh, well, I'm leaving tonight so I thought that I'd hang out with Julie. You remember her right?" Jen asked pointing to her friend.
"Yup, hey Julie!" He replied. Julie smiled.
"Nick man," Brian said jogging over,"How long does it take you to get the....woah.." He said more to the three of them then to himself like it was suppose to.
"Bri, remember yesterday I was telling you about that girl that I met at the mall?"
"Yea.. the one with the, "Most cutest baby"?" He replied quoting Nick's words. Both Jen and Nick blushed, while he nodded. "Which one is her?"
"Me." Jen answered sticking hout her hand. Brian shook it. "This is my friend Julie." She said pointing at her.
"Hi." She replied now standing up and shaking Brian's hand.
"Well, you girls wanna play some volleyball?" Brian asked.
"Sure." THey both answered in unison. THey followed Brian and NIck back to where AJ, Howie, and Kevin were sitting waiting for Nick to come back with the ball so they could continue playing.
"Finally." AJ stated. "We thought you guys got lost or something."
They introduced themselves and then split themselves up into teams. Jen, Nick, AJ, and Kevin were on one team, and Julie, Brian, and Howie were on the other.
The group had been playing volleyball for about an hour, when they called it quits, due to the hotness.
"Phew. It's hot!" Jen announced, "Anyone up for a swim?"
"Sure why not?" AJ replied standing up.
"Yea, I will too." Nick answered then stoof up and smiled at Jen, which caused her to blush.
"I'll go." Kev and Howie said at the same time. All eyes went to Brian and Julie, who then shot up and then raced each other down to the water. Jen and Nick waited until everyone was ready to go, then talked on the way down.
"So what did you guys just finish up from touring?" Jen asked Nick.
"Yea, we just finished our Mini US tour, then in four months we doa big US tour."
"Oh, thats cool." Jen said as the swam into the water. They all seemed to be having a great time. Brian was trying to chase Julie, Jen and Nick were talking, and everyone else was relaxing and enjoying one of many free days off.
Around 3:30pm, Jen and Julie decided to pack up and get ready to leave.
"Well, I had a really good time and it was nice to meet all of you." Jen said while the guys walked the girls to Jen's car.
"yea me too." Nick added. Jen opened the door and started the car to get it cool. They packed the trunk and were ready to go.
"Well, ready Jules?" She nodded.
"Alright guys. See yas later!" Jen and Julie hugged the guys good bye, then the guys started walking back to the beach.
"Jen, I'll call you tomorrow" Nick called out to her before she entered the car.
"Alright. Later Nick." She answered then closed the door and headed back to Julie's.
"Hey Munchkin!!! Mommy missed you!!" Jen said picking up her son off the florr where he was laying. "How was he?" She asked Mr. and Mrs. Morgan.
"He was great. He's such a good baby Jen." Mrs. Morgan answered. Her husband nodding in agreement.
"Yea I know. He's great most the time. But sometimes at night when he wakes up, I try everything to make him stop crying.. and then I just walk around hoping he'll fall back asleep, sometimes I just let him cry because I feel so helpless. But otherwise he's a great baby."
"Oh. Sometimes thats all babies want to do is be left alone and all they can think of is to cry. But it will change hun. The best stage is when they start smiling because they smile at everything." Mrs. Morgan answered placing the dinner in the oven. (*NOTE: wondering where Julie is? In the shower.*)
"So did you girls have fun at the beach?" Mr. Morgan asked looking up from the paper.
"Yup! We met up with this guy that I met at the mall yesterday and some of his buddies. I think I'm falling for him eventhough we haven't even gone out yet... but you should've seen him yesterday with Jay...it was the most cutest thing i've ever seen!" Jen answered, while sitting down at the table holding Jayson's bottle in his mouth.
By the time he was done eating and burped Julie came downstairs and told Jen to go shower. She finished just in time for dinner.
"That was good." Jen said wiping her mouth with a napkin,"I'll help with the dishes then I'll be on my way."
"Oh Jen stop it! Don't worry about them. I'll do it." Mrs. Morgan replied.
"You sure?" She just nodded.
"Go get ready!"
"Alright."
"Thanks for having me." Jen said hugging Julie's parents.
"No problem sweetie. It was nice seeing you again!"
"Bye Jules! You're coming in a couple of weeks right?"
"Yup! Call us when you get home even if its late." Julie replied hugging Jen, then kissing Jayson on the cheek.
"It shouldn't be late.. I should get home around...... 7:30, 8:30, 9:30.... 9:30/ 10:00." She said looking at her watch and counting the hours.
"Alright." Jen buckled Jayson's carseat into the car, then herslef, backed out of the driveway, beeped the horn, then sped off back home.
