Chapter 6
"Hello?"
"Hey Sweetie!"
"Hi Nick... I miss ya!" Jen replied into the phone.
"I miss you too. How are ya?"
"I'm okay, you?"
"Good, I got home a couple of minutes ago and remembered I had to call you."
"Oh, <giggles>, How was the ride?" She asked.
"Ah, it was alright. I was thinking the whole way home." Nick answered shyly.
"Oh...what about?"
"You.." Jen blushed eventhough he couldn't see her.
"Awwww Nick!"
"Yea....well..."
*beep beep* " Nick hold on I got a beep."
"Alright.. I'm holding."
"Ok." Jen switched to the other line,"Hello?"
"Hey girl whats up?"
"Hey Jules!! Nothing much, talking to Nick on the other line, you?"
"Oh..I was just thinking.."
"Yea......Make it quick babe.." Jen replied in a laugh.
"Okay, Next weekend do you want to go to Disney and you can ask Nick...and maybe Brian?"
"Sure. Let me ask him though and I'll call you back later okay?"
"Alright, see ya later Jen."
"Bye." Jen switched back over to Nick. "Sorry about that, it was Julie."
"Oh, it's okay."
"Alright, she wanted to know if I wanted to go to Disney next weekend and she wants you and Bri to go."
"Oh Okay, that sounds like fun. I'll call Brian and ask him, then i'll call you back?"
"Well, actually I'm going to my grandparents' house for lunch and dinner because my cousins are here from NY."
"Okay..."
"Just call me there." Jen gave him the number. "Okay, talk to ya then."
"Okay, Bye Jen." Nick hung up the phone and called Brian. "Come on.. I know you're home...pick up the damn phone Bri!!!! LeighAnne?" Nick asked.
"Yea?"
"Hey, it's Nick, is Bri there?"
"Hey Nick, yea hold on." He then heard Leigh tell Brian that Nick was on the phone and heard Brian clear his throat.
"Yo man!"
"Sup Rok? I just called Jen and Julie beeped in to see if we wanted to go to Disney."
"Yea...and?" He asked.
"Bri..You stupid?" He asked with a chuckle,"She wants you to go to..well, actually Julie wants you to go.."
"Uhhh Okay that sounds cool.."
"Okay."
"Well, bro I gotta go. LeighAnne and I are watching a movie. See ya when?"
"Saturday at around.. uhhhh noonish I guess?"
"Alright.."
"Oh and Bri?" Nick asked.
"Ya?"
"I think that night I'm going to ask Jen to be my Girlfriend."
"Go for it man...She'll say yes."
"Thanks..See ya later." Nick hung up the phone with a smirk on his face. He layed down on the couch and turned on the t.v. "Saturday night..Saturday night.." He said before falling asleep.
*Jen's Apartment*
"You're Mommy's boy right?" Jen asked in a high voice while putting Jay's clothes on him. He lightly smiled. "Jay!!! You smiled!" Jen said happily and then picked him up and planted a big kiss on his cheek. "I'm so proud of you!" She said now holding him over her head. He began to cry."Awww..Mommy's sorry. I'm sorry." Jen said claming him down. She finished getting him dressed, then she changed her cloths and they were out the door heading for her grandmother's house.
"Jen!!" Her cousin John greated her at the door.
"Hey!" She said hugging him and giving him a peck on the cheek.
"How are ya? Wow! He got so big!"
"Yea I know. I'm good though."
"Good." BY this time they were already in the livingroom. Jen said "Hello" to everyone and watched as they plated "Pass the baby" with her sleeping son.
"Hey there you monsters!" She said coming into the kitchen and saying hello to John's 3yr old twin sons. They just ran away chasing each other. Jen chuckled to herself and started conversations with her aunt and grandmother who were preparing lunch. Jen took a piece of cheekse and ate it. "So how's New York?"
"Oh its great!" Her Aunt Sue replied.
"Hows ummm...my parents?"
"They're pretty good."
"Oh." She said rather coldly.
*ring ring ring* "Got it!" Jen said, "Hello? Oh Hey Nick! Okay cool..Saturday....yea...i'll leave at like 9ish....okay..hold on one sec I need to get a piece of paper and pen.." She looked for a pen and paper to write down directions to his house on. When she founf them, she picked the phone back up," Okay got it.. uh huh...uh huh...okay. See ya Saturday..BYe...yup same here..Bye Nick." She hung up the phone and looked up to see two smiling faces looking at her."What?" She said with a smirk on her face.
"Who was that?" Sue asked.
"Nick....."
"Nick who?"
"That fine gentleman you brought here last night? Oh he's such a handsome man!" Her grandma said.
During dinner there were many conversations being held so Jen just sat there listening to her cousin John argue with his sister April. Jen soon felt herself start daydreaming. She must have been daydreaming for a while becausae her grandmother was calling her.
"Huh? Oh.. yea?" She answered confused?
"Hunny, are you thinking about Nick?" Sue asked. Jen blushed lightly.
"What are you kids doing on Saturday?" Her grandma asked.
"I'm driving up to Orlando again and me, Julie, Nick, and his friend Brian are going to Disney."
"Oh thats great hun. Do you want me to take Jayson for the weekend?"
"Oh That'd be great Grams! Thankyou!"
"No problem."
Jen stayed for a couple of more hours, then decided to go home. When she got home, she remembered she had to call Julie. She put Jayson in his swing and called her.
"Come on..." Jen said impatiently.
"Hey you've reached Julie's machine.ya know what to do after the beep."
"Hey Jules, it's Jen. Just calling to tell you I'll pick you up on Saturday at noonish. Later." SHe hung up the phone and stared into space. It was around 10 and she had nothing to do. Julie wasn't home, couldn't talk to her... there was only one person to try...Nick. She smiled to herslef then dialed Nick's number that she read off of a piece of paper.
"Hello?" A young boy answered.
"Hi is Nick there?"
"Umm, yea hold on. Who's this?"
"Jen."
"Ohhh.."He replied ina I-know-something-you-don't-know voice. "NICK!! JEN'S ON THE PHONE!!!" he yelled.
"Airboy, I'm right here! Geez!" She heard Nick say.. "Hey." He said into the phone.
"Hey! Sorry to call so late byt I was kinda bored."
"Oh no problem..I wasn't doing anything." They talked until they relized it was around one, so they decided to hang up and get some rest.
