Chapter 8
Jen and Nick had decided at 9pm that they would go and watch the fireworks.
The show started at 9.30pm, but they wanted to get a good spot.
"Wow! Look at that one!!"Jen said in amazement.
"Aww, it's so pretty." Nick replied. He scooted over closer to Jen where they were sitting on the curb. He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. She looked at him and smiled. Nicksmiled back and gently brushed his lips across heres. Pilling back a little, he looked her straight in the eyes. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked taking her hand in his.
"Oh Nick." She sighed, then kissed him again with more passion.
"Is that a yes?" He asked tilting her head with his fingers. She nodded and then kissed him again.

Jen and Nick were on their way to the car. They were boarding the trolly. (ya know the bus thing that takes you from your car to the park?) Jen was leaning against Nick's chest with his arm around her.
"Here they come..finally." Brian said to Julie.
"Hey Guys. Sorry we're late. We were watching the Fireworks." Nick said pushing the alarm to his truck. They all climed in and were off.
"Ya know what?" Nick asked after a few seconds of thinking.
"Whats that?" Jen asked.
"we should've met you guys at Julie's house so we didn't have to drive all the way to Tampa and then you guys drive by yourselves this late."
"It's no that late Nick." Julied replied.
"Yea but still, by the time you guys get hom it'll be after midnight atleast."
"It's okay, Julie's parents aren't home and we can drop Bri home."Jen said.
"It's only on the way.
"Why don't you guys just spend the night?"Nick suggested. "I mean, my parents went back to L.A. a few days ago." He finished looking over at Jen and smiling one of his smiles.
"What do you say Jules?" She asked. She nodded. "Oh what the hell. I still have my clothes in my trunk so I can take a shower and wear clean clothes."

"K, Bri you can sleep in the room you always sleep in. Julie, you can sleep in this one." Nick said turning on the light and walking in.
"Alright. Thanks." Nick walked out.
"You can sleep in this one. It's closest to mine." He said grabbing Jen's waist and touching his forehead to hers then kissed her. She giggled.

"Oh my god!" Jen said shotting up out of Nick's arms. They were all around watching Saturday Night Live.
"What's the matter baby?" Nick asked woried.
"I forgot to call home. I wonder if my baby is okay." She finished holding her forehead.
"I'm sire he's fine Jen. Hes a good baby." Julie replied.
"i know. It's just that. This is the first night i've ever really been away from him.. I mean, away like more than 3 hours away from him." Jen said laying back down.
"You can call in the moring. First thing. I promise." Nick said kissing the side of her forehead.
"Alright." She said looking at him and smiling.
*During the Night*
"Coming!" Jen shouted as she made her way to the door."Jim?What are you doing here?" She asked getting nervous.
"Came to see my son. Where is he?"
"He's in the living room. How'd you find me?"
"Awww look at him. Hi Jayson. It's daddy." Jen cringed as he spoke those last two words.
"Uhh.. Stay right here. Let me go change and put something more.. hmmm.. presentable on." Jen said as Jim took Jay out of his playpen. She ran in her bedroom and put on a pair of shorts and tshirt and fixed herself up a little.
"So, how's New York?" Jen asked coming out of her room pulling her hair up in a ponytail. She looked up and saw no one there. "Jim?" She called out panicking. "JIM!!!!!!" She screamed runing to the door.
"Jim! Give me back my baby!" Jen shouted "Please!" She sobbed. "JIM!"
"Jen... Jen.." Nick whispered. Jen shot up in bed with tears streaming down her face.
"Nick." She cried. He pilled her into his arms and let her cry. "I had a dream..Jim." She began but just broke down crying again. "It felt so real." She whispered.
"Shh." Nick replied running his hand up and down her back. "It's okay. I'm here." He layed down next to her on the bed and held her close. Once she was sleeping he kissed her on her forehead and closed his eyes. He wasn't going to let no one hurt her.
"Mmmm." Jen moaned while Nick kissed her.
"Morning Baby." Nick said tucking a piece of her hair that had came out of her ponytail during the night, behind her ear.
"Morning. Sorry about last night."
"It's okay. Ya know, I could get use to sleeping with you in my airms everynight." Jen smiled.
"What time is it?"
"10:30"
"10:30!!" She screamed bolting up into sitting position.
"Honey, calm down. Julie and Brian are still sleeping." Nic replied chuckling to himself.
"Oh"
"Get ready We'll go our for brunch." He said kissing her one last time then left the room. Jen got up and took a shower. By the time she was ready it was almost 11:30. SHe went down the hallway to the kitchen and saw Nick on the phone.
"I love you too Mom. Bye." He replied hanging up the phone."Ready?" Jen nodded.
"Wait. Can I call home first?"
"Sure. No problem." Nick replied handing Jen the phone.
"Grandpa? It's Jen. Good you? How is he? Okay good. Yup...It was fun..Yea..I gotta go i'll be home tonite around eight is that alright? Okay, give Jay a kiss for me. Love you. Bye."
"See I told you he'd be fine. BUt you're leaving me tonight?" Nick replied whining.
"Awwww." Jen replied coming over to him and wrapping her arms around him and giving him a big kiss. "You can come with me!" Nick's eyes lit up and he smiled. Jen laughed to herself. "Okay let's go. I'm starving."
"Mmmm those look good."
"They are. Wanna taste?" Jen asked then gave some of her chocolate chip pancakes to him.
"mmmm." Jen giggled.
"Okay, I'm full. Now that I just ate enough for like 5 families." Jens tated eating the last of her pancakes as she could, then wiped her mouth.
"No you didn't...even if you did. I ate enough for like 15." Nic answered. Jen smiled and they both looked into each others eyes. Lost for amoment, they both were pulled back outta their tranze by the waitress leaving the check.
Jen looked up. "She's pretty."
"She's cute. But you're prettier." Jen blushed.
"Thanks." Nick smiled back and grabbed Jen's hand. They payed for their meal and left. While walking to the car, they were still holding hands. Nick rubbed Jen's with his thumb, making her fall more and more in love with him.
