Chapter 18
"Are you going to show up at the show?"
"I don't know. Maybe I will. I just want to finish packing cause we leave for the airport first thing in the morning."
"Okay, if you don't go i'll see you when I get back." Nick replied kissing her on the cheek. "See ya later Baby. Daddy be back in a little while." He then said picking Jayson up off the floor and kissing him.
"Alright Kiddo. It's just me and you." Jen picked him up and put him in his playpen. That's all she needed was to have a baby crawl places while she was trying to straighten up. Throwing a bunch of the toys that were on the floor that he was playing with in too, she returned back to packing.
After everything was organized, she pulled out the things she was going to wear on the plane, then picked out an outfit for Jay.
"He can pick
out whatever he wants to wear." She said to herself. "Do you wanna
go see DaDa's last show?" She asked coming over to the pen. She took him
out and put on his sneakers and then put hers on. "Here ya go. Look at
my big boy! You're growing too fast Chunkie!" Jen said putting his jacket
on him, then his little hat and gloves, and then put on her jacket. Grabbing
his hand she closed the door behind her and walked with him down the hallway.

Kevin wiped the sweat off of his forehead. "This next song, is really special. Not only did one of my best friends write this song, but it means a lot to us. Howie.."
"Right. So, as you can see we're going to bring up a mother and their child. So guys, lets get 'em." All five guys went into the audience with a few bodyguards and found a mother and child. Nick smiled from the stage, noticing Jen had showed. He scanned the audience to figure out who he'd pick.
"Alright Cleveland. I have someone special to bring up here. Now, I don't want no booing or any of that alright?" Nick asked. He came down and grabbed Jay out of Jen's arms and then grabbed her hand and led them up the stairs and onto the stage.
"Nick!! What are you doing?" She tried screaming over the crowd.
"Everyone, ya'll probably already know this... but, this is my fiancee Jen and her son Jayson."
Jen's heart skipped a few beats, but was in shock when she wasn't being booed.. but was being awed.
"Say Hi Honey."
"Uh, Hi Everyone."
She said into the mic shyly. The music to The Perfect Fan could be heard and
they went on with their show.

"Alright guys, we probably won't see you in the morning so, we'll see ya's soon." Jen said making her rounds to hug and kiss everyone,Nick following.
"See you guys." He said. After making sure everyone was said goodbye to, they were escorted back to the hotel.
Getting into their room, they dropped everything. Jay was sleeping in Nick's arms, so he layed him in his bed, and took his jacket off.
"<yawn> I'm going to bed now Hon." Jen announced.
"Okay, i'll be right there." He got undressed and met Jen at the bed.
"I can't believe you did that tonite." She said playfully hitting him.
"Oh come on. You know you liked it."
"You have no idea how scared I was.. I thought I was gonna get killed."
"Well, you didn't." He laughed. "<yawn> Alright, I'm tired. We have to get up early. I lvoe you."
"I love you
too." She replied kissing him. "Good night." They both rolled
over and drifted off.

"Home sweet home!!" Nick announced as they entered the house.
"Yep." Jen answered. She was carrying her pocketbook, along with the carry-on bags from the plane. She set them down on the kitchen counter and went to check the messages.
"I'll go get the rest of the things." Nick yelled from the doorway.
"Alright." She sat down in one of the kitchen chairs, listening to all the messages left by friends and family. Most of them knew that they were away on tour, but still called to show that they missed them, eventhough they called from the hotels often.
Picking up the
phone, she started calling their friends and a few family members to inform
that they were home. After doing so, she went into the living room to see what
Nick was up to.

* A month after *
Now, into the month of January, it was getting close to Jayson's birthday. The big ONE. The party was this weeked. January 17th, Jayson's real birthday.
Now, being Wedsneday and the party being on Saturday, Jen spent the day shopping for food and acessories for the party. Invitations were sent out a week after they had gotten back from touring. Mostly everyone they invited were showing, except for a few.
"Honey! I'm home!" Jen called opening the front door. No answer. "Hmm.. the car's here." She said to herself. Before going to see what her guys were doing, she brought in all the packages and put them away.
After, Jen walked up the stairs and started down the hallway to where she heard Nick talking.
"Now, Jay. We can't tell Mommy about what we did okay?" He said coming out of the room, still not knowing that Jen was home. He closed the door behind him, back turned to her, then turned around."<gasp>"
"Sorry.." She laughed. "Tell Mommy what?" She asked, taking Jay out of Nick's arms and hugging him. "Hey Baby." Jen said kissing him. "Hey." She then kissed Nick on the lips. "Now, tell me what?" She asked going into Jayson's room. Jen drew in a quick breath. "Wow Nick. It looks absolutely amazing."
While she was at the store, Nick had painted Jay's walls a baby blue, and arranged the furniture so that his crib was cornered in the room. Everything else was fit into place where it looked best.
"Yea, it does. It's not done yet though. I have to put some things up." Jen came over to him and kissed him passionatly, loving the moment that they were sharing. She knew that once they were married, they'd be so happy together, and be a wonderful family.
