Chapter 21
"Mom I'm really sorry" Jessica said later that night "I never meant to hurt you."
"I know sweetie" Kelly said "But you still should have stayed."
"Yeah but I woke up to find him gone" Jessica said "He hurt me so bad."
"He came back to get you" Kelly "He loves you"
"He does" Jessica said softly. "I thought he left cause he hated me"
"He made a mistake" Kelly said "He realized how much he loved you when he was gone"
"Oh" Jessica said
"Forgive him honey" Kelly said "True love only comes once in a lifetime. I believe you and Brian are sole mates"
"Yeah well I don't know if I can forgive him" Jessica said "He hurt me so bad"
"I know" Kelly said "But just forgive him"
"Maybe" Jessica said "Just maybe" She knew she would forgive Brian eventually."
"Hey Bri" AJ smiled "You wanna play some B-ball?"
"Sure" Brian said grabbing his basketball.
"So I heard you saw and talked to Jessica" AJ said
"Yup" Brian said "She wasn't to glad to see me. I wouldn't blame her."
"But she did agree to talk to you right" AJ said "I mean when we get to Lexington?"
"Yes" Brian said "I can't wait. It's killing me by how time is going so slow."
"Well maybe b-ball will make time go faster" AJ said They saw that Kevin, Nick, Howie, and Lindsey were waiting for them.
"You play ball?" Brian asked Lindsey
"Jess taught me" Lindsey said smiling
"Kev, and I taught Jessica" Brian said "She picked up fast. She would come so close but could never beat us." Kevin, Howie, and Lindsey were on a team. AJ, Nick, and Brian were on a team. They played for over two hours. At the end it was 98-104. Brian, AJ, and Nick won.
