Chapter 31
~6 Hours Later~
"Here comes the doctor" Brian said.
"How is she Doctor?" Kelly asked
"We lost her
for about five minutes" Doctor Homes said. "She may have
some brain damage. Right now she's asleep with a slight concussion. She
has three broken ribs, and her right arm in broken."
"Can we go see her?" Brian asked. They had just brought her to her room.
"Just for a few minutes and one at a time" Doctor Homes said.
"Can I go see her first Kelly?" Brian asked Tears silently falling.
"She was coming
to see you" Kelly said "She wanted to tell you
something. But yes go ahead." Brian jumped up and ran to her room.
"Jess it's
me Brian" Brian said. He kissed her softly on the forehead.
He took her hand. "I love you Jessie." He said after a couple minutes.
He got up to leave.
"Brian please
don't leave" Jessica whispered. "I hurt all over. Don't
leave me again."
"I won't leave you ever again" Brian said taking her hand.
"It hurts so much" Whimpered Jessica
"What does?" Brian asked pushing the nurse call button.
"Everything from my head to my toes" Jessica moaned as a nurse came in.
"What can I help you with?" Nurse Candy asked
"Some pain killers" Brian said. Just as Kelly came into the room.
"Oh honey
your awake" Kelly cried. Running over to Jessica and giving
her a hug. The nurse gave Jessica the pain killers.
"Why can I feel my legs?" Jessica asked softly.
"Why wouldn't you?" Nurse Candy asked
"I was paralyzed over a year ago" Jessica said yawning.
"Well your not any more" Nurse Candy said
"When can I go home?" Jessica asked closing her eyes.
"Tomorrow" Nurse Candy said "Unless something comes up."
"Jess I'll
come back and get you in the morning" Brian said kissing her
cheek. He and Kelly both left the room.
"Hey Brian" Lindsey said "So how is she?"
"She's awake"
Brian said "And well she can fell her legs so she can walk
again."
"Thats great" Smiled Brian. "So she's gonna be okay?"
"Yes and as
soon as morning comes she gets out" Brian said "Unless
something comes up." They left and went to Brian's Mom's house
