Chapter 6
Tiffany's View
The ride to the restaurant was kind of quiet but Brian would all of a sudden come out with a joke that was pretty funny. I guess you could say I was nervous. I mean Brian Littrell from the Backstreet Boys asked me out and now I was sitting only a couple of inches away from him. I have always dreamed about this happening and now it was. Brian then snapped me out of my thoughts; "We're here."
"What?" I asked confused. I looked around me seeing that we were at a restaurant surrounded by fancy cars.
"We're at the restaurant," he repeated.
"Oh"
"Stay there for a second," he said while getting out of the car and coming around the jeep to my side. He opened the door and held out his hand. I took it and smiled at him.
"Such a gentleman you are Mr. Littrell."
"Well I am from Kentucky and we treat beautiful women such as yourself respectfully," he said while smiling. I could feel my face turning hot.
"Aw, my whittle princess is bwushing," he said imitating tweety. I just turned redder.
"You don't take compliments well do you?"
"You think?" I said sarcastically. Brian just laughed.
"C'mon! We're late for our reservations."
He pulled me to the restaurant with his hand in mine. His skin felt so good. As we reached the restaurant I saw a car that looked familiar but ignored it. We entered the restaurant and went to the check in stand.
"What do you want?" A guy in a tux asked snottily.
"We have a reservation for two," Brian said angrily.
"What's your name?" the man asked with the same attitude.
"Littrell and if you don't act more courteous I might just have to talk to the manager. Now will you please lead us to our table?" Brian said trying to control his anger.
The man got the menus and led us to our table near the back by a window. I looked around and found many dressed up people who looked rich but looks can be deceiving. The man put the menus on the table and left. Brian looked after him with an annoyed look on his face. He turned to me and apologized, "I'm sorry about that."
"It's OK some people are just real jerks."
"That guy was not just a jerk he was an asshole," he said while pulling my chair out for me. I sat in it and thanked him. He pushed me in and then sat in his seat.
"So how do you like Florida so far?" Brian asked trying to start a conversation.
"Well it's beautiful and peaceful and not to mention I met a wonderful guy who was kind enough to take me out," I said smiling.
"Well I met a wonderful girl to actually take out," he said while taking my hands in his and staring into my eyes. His eyes are so beautiful.
"May I get you two a drink?" A waitress said interrupting our so-called conversation.
Brian looked up at her and said, "Yeah I would like an iced tea."
"I would like a lemonade," I said looking at the shocked waitress.
"Oh My God! You're Brian from the Backstreet Boys!" she yelled in a whisper.
"I sure am. Can we have our drinks?" Brian said looking around nervously.
"Sure! I'll be right back," she said while giving me a dirty look.
"Jeez! I can't go anywhere anymore without being noticed."
"Well I would be flattered for people to know me and go nuts when they see me but instead I'm getting dirty looks from a waitress."
"That waitress gave you a dirty look?"
"Yeah, I'm used to it though since I go a lot of places with Nick."
"They have no right to do that to you."
"All the girls think I'm his girlfriend just because I'm walking with him. I mean you guys have lives and in them you need a girlfriend or a girl that is a friend. If you didn't then you would have an abnormal life."
"I already have an abnormal life."
"Yeah but it would be even more abnormal."
"That's a good point. You're a fan right?"
"Yeah why?"
"Can you tell me why all the fans hate it when we have girlfriends. I thought they were suppose to be happy for us."
"Well some are happy for you but some have this thing thinking that you will marry them and no one else. They're just jealous."
"That's just crazy!"
"I know!"
"Here you go Mr. Littrell," the waitress said while gently putting down his iced tea.
"And here you go," she said while slamming my lemonade down.
"Excuse me! I don't think there was a need to do that Bitch! You could've wrecked this dress!" I yelled while standing up.
"Well maybe I should have wrecked it because you look like a slut!"
"You have no right to call me a slut bitch!"
Everyone by that point were staring at us.
"You have no right to call me a bitch and go out with my Brian!
"Your Brian! I don't even know you!" Brian jumped in.
"What's going on here!" a short balding man yelled.
"This little bitch here is harassing my girl!" Brian yelled.
He called me his girl. Oh my gosh! My anger went away and happiness took over.
"Stacey you're fired and you two must leave now!" the short man said.
"Fine by me!" Brian said while grabbing his jacket and mine.
"Come on Tiffany lets get out of here," he said while taking a hold of my hand and leading me to his car. Brian unlocked the car and opened the door for me. I got in quietly. He shut the door and came in on his side. He sat in his seat and threw the jackets in the back. Then he started hitting his head on the steering wheel repeatedly.
"Brian are you OK?" I asked concerned.
He looked up at me on the verge of tears.
"No I'm far away from being OK," he said quietly.
"What's wrong," I asked sadly.
"I wanted for this to be a perfect night but so far it's been a living hell."
"I wouldn't say it is that bad."
He looked at me like I was crazy, " I mean we still have the rest of the night and the best part is spending it with you."
He smiled and hugged me; "You know the right things to say at a bad time."
"It's one of my best qualities," I said while smiling.
All of a sudden there was a knock on the window. I looked to my right to find my ex-boyfriend Josh.
"Oh shit," I said under my breath.
"What? Who is that?" Brian asked confused.
"It's my ex-boyfriend Josh."
I opened the door and got out. Brian did the same thing and came around the car to stand next to me.
"What are you doing here Josh?" I asked coldly.
"Chill baby! I saw you get in a fight with that waitress and I had to come and talk to you."
"I thought I saw that piece of shit you drive around."
"What's up your ass?"
"Do you have any respect for women?" Brian said while walking in front of me.
"Not really. Who are you pretty boy?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Because I asked and get out of the way. I want to talk to Tiffany not your ugly face."
"Just stay away from Tiffany or you're going to get your ass kicked."
"It looks like we have a tough guy here folks."
I saw Brian clench his fists. I touched his shoulder to make him relax.
"Brian lets just go OK?" I whispered in his ear as I looked at him pleadingly.
"OK lets go."
He opened the car door and I got in. I looked out the window to see Josh still talking to him. Brian walked around to his side and got in ignoring him. He started the engine and put the car in gear starting to pull out of the parking lot. I looked back at Josh to find his hand up to his ear like a phone. It looked like he said 'I'll call you' but I'm not really good at reading lips. I looked back at Brian to see him concentrating on the rode. I just hope the rest of the night will go more smoothly.
