Chapter 5
Brian's View
I turned around and my jaw hit the floor.
"Wow!" I said under my breath. Tiffany was standing before me in a silk red dress that showed off her curves perfectly and red clogs. Her layered hair was curled under and she was wearing a necklace that looked familiar. She wasn't wearing a lot of make-up but she didn't need it. She looked so beautiful.
"Hi Bri! I'm ready to go," she said.
I was speechless. I just had no idea what to say. My mind just went blank.
"Brian are you OK?" she asked. Before I could answer BJ and Aaron came in with a bowl of popcorn and pops in hand.
"Woah! Tiffany! Dear Lord!" Aaron said speechless.
"Wow Tiffany! You look great in the dress Nick gave you!" BJ complimented.
"Thanks," she said while blushing slightly.
"Yeah you look great! Nick gave you the dress?" I asked finally being able to say something.
"Yeah! He said it was a present for being such a good friend."
"I'm a good friend so why don't I get presents like that!" I exclaimed.
I didn't get an answer. I looked at Nick and he was staring at Tiffany with the same expression on his face. I was wondering what he was thinking but I knew it had something to do with Tiffany. I decided to ask Nick about it later but for right now I'm going to concentrate on my date with Tiffany.
"Tiffany I think we should go," I suggested.
"OK"
I walked to her and gave her the roses.
"Thank you! They're beautiful Brian! BJ can you go put these in a vase for me?"
"Sure! Have a nice night," BJ said while taking the flowers and winking at Tiffany. Once BJ left I took Tiffany's hand and guided her to the door. As we walked past Aaron I couldn't help but notice the look on his face. He was just like Nick staring at Tiffany wide eyed.
"Tiffany you can go to the car. I'll be out in a minute," I told her.
"OK," she said while heading out to the car.
I bent down where Aaron stood looking out the door where Tiffany had left.
"It's looks like Aaron is finally a man!" I whispered in his ear.
He looked at me and just smiled. I just laughed and said good bye.
"I'll see you later little buddy," I said while ruffling his hair. I stood up and looked in the living room to find Nick on the couch thinking.
"See ya later Frack!" he looked at me with a distant look in his eyes.
"Oh, see ya later. Have a nice night and make sure Tiffany comes home safely."
"I sure will and don't worry she's in good hands," I said wondering why Nick was so distant lately. He really wasn't himself. I'll just talk to him tomorrow. I turned and walked out the door.
As I reached the jeep I heard a familiar tune. I opened the door to hear the stereo on at an incredibly loud volume and 'I Want It That Way" was playing. Tiffany was sitting in the passengers seat singing along and bobbing her head. She looked so ridiculous. I got in a slammed the door trying to get her attention.
"Aaaahhhh! Brian you scared the shit out of me! I can't believe that you saw me do that! Why didn't you say something!" she shrieked as she turned the radio off.
"I was having a nice time watching how ridiculous you looked," I said teasing.
She covered her head in her hands and mumbled, "This is so embarrassing."
I reached over and took her hands off her face and said, "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. I'll probably make a bigger fool out of myself knowing me."
She giggled and kissed my cheek. I smiled at her wishing she would kiss my lips. I hoped it would happen later that night. I came back to reality and turned the car on. I turned the radio back on but not as loud and pulled out of the driveway heading toward downtown to have a nice romantic dinner with the most beautiful girl in the entire world. I just really hoped tonight would go smoothly because I didn't want to screw things up with Tiffany.
