Chapter 35
Brian's View
I looked over at a sleeping Michelle and smiled. It's 11:30 and we just got done recording 4 songs for our new album. Michelle had a blast. Everyone there loved Michelle. She was the highlight of the evening.
Anyway I can't wait to get home to see Tiffany. It was torture to just be away from her for only a couple of hours! I wonder how it's going to be when she's pregnant with another of our children and she can't come on tour. Well, I hope she has more of my children. I'm hoping she's going to marry me. I haven't asked her yet but I will soon.
I pulled up to the gates and pressed the code numbers. The gates slowly opened and I drove past them. I parked the car in the drive way and got out. I went over to the passenger's side and gently picked Michelle up. I closed the door and went over to the door. I started to dig in my pant pocket to get my keys when I noticed that the door was slightly open. I slowly pushed it open and looked in. The lights were all on and it was quiet. I walked in and closed the door.
"Tiffany? Baby are you up?" I asked quietly. I didn't get an answer. I walked over to the stairs and set Michelle gently down on one of the steps. When I was doing this I looked in the living room and found that the TV was on and it was on mute. I walked into the living room and looked around. I looked down and saw that the lamp was in pieces on the floor.
"TIFFANY!" I said. I walked to the kitchen quickly and looked around. The glass door was broken and there was glass all over the floor and to make matters worse there was blood.
"TIFFANY!" I yelled. I was beginning to have tears come to my eyes. I looked over at the phone but It wasn't there. I ran out of the kitchen and up the stairs passing Michelle that was still sleeping. I ran to our room and looked around. The dresser was tipped over and things were scattered all over the floor. On the bed was a note. I rushed over and picked it up. It read:
If you want to get your precious Tiffany and her friend Darlene back ever again go to Key Largo and go to the 3rd street pay phone! DON'T CALL THE POLICE OR THEY'RE DEAD! Bring money and we'll go from there! Remember NO POLICE!
I dropped the note and began to cry. I can't believe this is happening! I need to call someone! I ran down the stairs and almost tripped over Michelle but I didn't. I ran over to my coat and searched through the pockets. Tears were streaming down my face.
"Daddy?" I heard a sleepy Michelle say.
"SHH angel! I need to call someone!" I said crying.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
I got the phone and dialed Nick's number. The phone rang 5 times and still there was no answer.
"PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE!" I yelled.
"Hello?" I heard Nick say sleepily.
"Get over here quick!" I said with tears streaming down my face.
"Bri? What's wrong?" Nick asked seeming more awake.
"JUST GET OVER HERE! IT'S AN EMERGENCY!" I yelled. I hung the phone up and threw it. I was angry and really upset that this is happening. I put my head in my hands and just sobbed. I felt little hands touch my arms. I looked up and saw Michelle looking at me sadly.
"Come here," I said. I wrapped her in a hug and hugged her tightly.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
I pulled away and looked at her.
"Mommy," I said. I swallowed hard and said, "Mommy was taken away."
"She was?" she asked.
"Yes and I don't know if we will get her back," I said. She looked at me and then started to cry. I cried harder and hugged her. We sat like this for about 10 minutes when I heard the door open. I looked up to see all the guys standing there looking at me worried.
"What's wrong!" Kevin asked.
"Tiffany and Darlene were kidnapped," I said quietly. Tears were still streaming down my face.
"OH MY GOD! Did you call the police?!" Howie asked.
"I can't," I said.
"Yes you can!" AJ said.
"NO I CAN'T! THE NOTE SAID IF I DID THEY WOULD KILL THEM!" I yelled. Michelle started to cry even more.
"Shh," I said hugging her.
"Are you sure Darlene isn't here?" Nick asked.
"Yeah I'm sure," I said.
He punched the wall and clenched his jaw. I could tell that he was about to cry.
"We need to do something," AJ said.
"Like what?" I asked.
I don't know!" he said.
"Where's the note?" Kevin asked.
"Upstairs on the bed," I said.
"K," he said and walked passed me. He walked up the stairs and then a minute later he came back down with it in his hand.
"Why would someone do this to Tiffany? And who's Darlene?"
"She's my girlfriend and Tiffany's best friend from Colorado," Nicks said sadly.
"Your girlfriend?" Howie asked.
"Yeah," he sighed.
"How come we never met her?" AJ asked.
"Because she was kidnapped before you could!" Nick said.
"You're right about that," AJ said.
"Look we'll just go to Key Largo," Kevin said.
"You think!" I said.
"Look Brian I know you're upset but you need to stay calm," Howie said.
"I know!" I snapped.
"Let's just go," Nick said.
"Yeah lets," I said getting up with Michelle in my arms.
"K, we'll take my Expedition," AJ said.
"Good idea," Kevin said.
"I'll turn the lights off. Brian you can go put Michelle in her car seat," Kevin said.
"K," I said. I walked over to my jeep and got the car seat out. I went over to the expedition and put it in. I then put Michelle in the car seat. She had fallen asleep again. I got in and waited for everyone else to come. Finally they came out and we set off to the keys. PLEASE GOD! LET MY BABY BE ALL RIGHT!
