Chapter 3 - Tragedy Causes Loneliness
Brian picked up the necklace and handed it to Bernie for safe keeping. He then turned to nick and helped him to his feet. "What happened? How do you know she was taken?" he asked. "This is how." nick said sadly. He shoved the paper at Brian. Brian showed it to the guys, and they all sat him down. The police sirens blared as they entered the parking lot. They walked in and noticed that nick was the first one to jump up.
"Oh thank you officer, my girlfriend......they.......they.......I.........please." nick started to stutter. Brian walked over and told nick to sit down. He shook the officer's hand and explained the whole ordeal. He showed him the note and the necklace, and explained to them, that they were touring this country and were just eating a peaceful dinner. The officer nodded. "Yes you are the Backstreet boys right?"
"Yeah."
"My daughter loves you guys." nick looked him dead in the eye with anger and frustration.
"Well, I will enter a missing persons report and send out a search for her.....did you see a vehicle at all?" he asked. "No."
"Okay well, um can I get a statement from this young man since he discovered she was missing?"
The officer gave nick his card when they were done questioning him. A limo came to pick them up and escort them back to the hotel. Once in the lobby, a young girl ran up to nick.
"Can I have your autograph?" he signed her book and tried to smile at her.
She looked around and then asked him a question as if she was upset.
"Where's Crystal?"
"How do you know Crystal?" he asked.
"I met her at the concert and asked her to give you a note, did you get it?"
"Yeah, but she's gone, someone took her......" he began to cry.
"Don't cry nick, she will be okay."
"I hope so. Thank you for being nice." he gave her a hug and kissed her forehead. She giggled and ran to her mom, skipping. He looked at a guy and girl sitting in a chair together and remembered them tickling each other on the couch earlier.
Flashback
"Okay, I am hittin the shower....then we can go." he said kissing my neck.
"Oh God please do smelly."
"Hey!!" he said tickling me.
"Ahhhhhh I'm gonna pee my pants!" Crystal yelled.
"Good then you can take a shower too!"
Brian laughed.
"Get a room you two."
He put her down and smiled.
"Be right back baby."
"Take your time."
End flashback
Nick's knees went weak and he almost collapsed. Brian caught him and helped him to their room.
