Chapter 21
"CHRISTY??" I heard Nick yell. "AJ ISN'T COMING HOME TONIGHT, HE AND AMANDA ARE GONNA BE AT THE CLUB FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT, SO I'M STAYING HERE WITH YOU OKAY??" I knew he wasn't expecting an answer so I didn't. I had been in my room for a couple hours trying to figure things out. I think I finally have too, so I'm going to go talk to Nick now.
I softly opened my door and walked out. My bare feet making the carpeted floor creak a little. I walked to the top of the staircase where I saw Nick sitting, his back to me, and his head in his hands.
"Nick?" I called softly. He reached his hand out for me. I took his offered gesture and we walked together to the living room. He sat on the couch and motioned for me to sit by him, I did. Then he pulled me close to him, I rested my head on his chest and we started talking.
We talked about everything. Our feelings for each other, how long we had been feeling that way, and many, many other things. He told me he accidentally read my journal, I guess that it upset me a little but if you really think about it my journal did me a favor. Never in a million years would I come right out and tell Nick that I was in love with him, NEVER, and my journal did it for me.
"Christy?" I heard Nick say
"Yeah?" I asked softly, near sleep.
"Would you be my girlfriend?"
"I'd be honored Nick."
"I love you." He said softly.
"I love you to Nick, I really do." I said. He leaned down and kissed me again. Then Nick fell asleep, right as the radio started to play a song that I would remember forever and always-
You set my soul at ease
"That was Jessica Simpson with 'I wanna love you forever'" the DJ announced,
"For all of us tonight that have found the one that we wanna love forever."
Then I fell asleep, content, in the arms of the man I knew I wanted to love
forever.
