Chapter 20
"Celine I have your present!"Tes exclaimed
"Oh boy I'm sure it's great." Celine moaned
"Someone is very happy aren't they?" Tes questioned
"Sorry Tes but I'm just stressed and presents are the last thing on my mind." Celine said rushing to the bedroom
Celine picked up the little black box wrapped in a delicate silver paper with ribbon. It was Kevin's ring and she wanted to give it to him while everyone was there.
"I'm back." Brian shouted
"Hey B-Rok." Celine said walking out with the little box
"A present for me?" Brian asked pointing
"No a present for Kevin." Celine said handing him the box
"You're a brat," Kevin suggested "You're not supposed to buy me stuff."
"There's no law against it." Celine stated
Kevin opened the box and the gold ring with jade and diamond in it stared at him.
"Celine this is neat." Kevin said smiling
Meanwhile the song "I do" By 98 degrees came on
"I love this song." Celine said hugging Kevin
"but it's not us." Brian said pouting
"That's why I love them." Celine said laughing
Kevin stared into Celine's beautiful green eyes. She was what he wanted for life. The way she laughed, smiled, joked, and talked was unique. She had this twinkle in her eyes that made her stand out compared to all of the other guys girlfriends. How could he ever resist someone so perfect in many ways? He knew it was time.
"C-C?" Kevin asked
"Yeah babe?" Celine asked
"You look beautiful." Kevin suggested
"Thanks." Celine said as a smile crept across her face
"You're welcome," Kevin said "Come with me to our room?"
"Sure," Celine said "I'll be back."
Celine and Kevin walked to the room and "Back at one" was playing on the stereo system.
"Celine-one your like a dream come true, two just wanna be with you, three girl it's plain to see that you're the only one for me and four repeat steps one two three, five made you fall in love with me." Kevin sang
"You're too cute." Celine said laughing
"Shhh listen." Kevin whispered
"What?" Celine said loudly
"Listen Celine," Kevin started "I love you so much and we've gone thru a lot, ever since I have talked to you on line, I knew I loved you before we met, to the day I met you, from this moment on I will love you."
"Kevin please." Celine said as tears were forming
"Listen, I don't even remember what life was like before I met you," Kevin started "You make my days brighter with your smile and lighten my days with your sensirity."
"You're making me cry." Celine said wiping away the tears
"The point I want to make is I love you more than I can love myself," Kevin said "I don't want to go another day without you by my side and I have never loved like this before, will you please marry me?"
Celine had tears streaming down her face and looked up and smiled "Since I brighten up your days already, then yes."
Kevin hugged Celine and they headed back out to the living room.
"Celine wait." Kevin whispered" I forgot the ring."
"Goofball." Celine giggled as Kevin ran back to get the ring
He came out with a gold ring with a huge diamond in the middle with four little diamonds around it.
"Kevin it's beautiful." Celine said kissing his cheek
"Well it's not as beautiful as you." Kevin said putting his hands around her waist
They walked out again into the living room and all of them were silent.
"Anyone gonna talk?" Celine asked sitting down followed by Kevin on her lap "Get off you're heavy."
"Hey don't shove me." Kevin said laughing
"You got engaged?" Tes Screamed
"SHUT UP!" Celine yelled "Do you insist on YELLING?"
"I'm sorry did you two get engaged?" Tes said calming down
"Yes we did." Kevin said Pulling Celine up and sitting her on his lap
"Congrats guys." Brian said smiling
"Thanks Bri," Celine said "Gezz Kevin now I can't marry Brian you've ruined my whole life plan"
"I'm sorry I'll leave you alone then," Kevin said frowning
"Ha Yeah right," Celine smiled "You're my star."
"Okay this is getting to mushy." Brian said pushing Celine off Kevins lap
"Owwww." Celine screamed
"What happened?"Kevin asked
"My wrist it really hurts." Celine said with tears forming in her eyes
"Oh my gosh." Brian murmurred
"Brian you idiot," Kevin yelled "She hurt her arm now."
"I-I-I didn't mean too." Brian said puzzled
"Kevin please go get Diane." Celine said crying
Kevin ran to get Diane. Recently Celine only found out that Celine and her husband were both doctors and that they went in usually around 3 am to start their rounds. Hopefully she could diagnose it.
"Celine I'm so sorry." Brian said almost in tears
"It's okay," Celine said trying to smile "I just won't be able to wear my ring for a while."
"I feel so bad." Brian said
Kevin came running in with Diane.
"Hey there Celine," Diane said smiling "So what happened?"
"We were messing around and Brian pushed me off my chair." Celine said trying to laugh "We're stupid just say it."
"Stupid people." Diane said examining Celine's arm "You need to go to the hospital with that arm, looks like you could have shattered it."
"Great." Kevin said "Brian you better hope it's just fractured."
"Shut up guys please?" Celine begged "If it's shattered then it was meant to be."
"Stop acting stupid." Tes said "Just go to the hospital and get better."
"Yeah or we'll beat you up." Christina said laughing
Celine went to the hospital and found out that her bone was shattered and
needed to have surgery. She had the surgery and went home later X-Mas eve
night.
