Chapter 8
Kevin's View
"Nick what is up with you? Are you out of your mind!?"
I yelled looking at an excited Nick.
"I'm telling the truth guys! Brian is back! I saw
him last night! C'mon you got to believe me!" Nick said looking at all of
us.
"Nick I think you need some sleep," Howie said
calmly.
"Yeah really Nick. Brian is gone, you need to accept
that," AJ said looking at Nick concerned.
"GUYS! I'm telling the truth! ASK DARLENE! SHE SAW
HIM TOO!"
"Nick I think you need to see a doctor," AJ said.
"NO I DON'T! C'mon! Tiffany saw him so did Michelle!
Just come over to their house! He's there! I promise!"
We all looked at each other sadly and then looked
back up at Nick.
"OK, but we already know that he's not there," I
sighed.
"YES! C'mon!" Nick said smiling. He jumped up from
the couch and ran to the door. We followed him and got in our cars and drove
to Tiffany's house. We drove through the gates and parked our cars by the
house. Nick jumped out of his car and waited impatiently as we slowly got
our of our cars.
"JEEZ NICK! Will you calm down! I'm going to show
you once and for all that Brian is dead!" I yelled. He just rolled his eyes
and walked up to the door. We waited as Nick pounded on the door.
"HI!" Michelle greeted us when she opened the
door.
"Hi," we all said smiling. She opened the door and
then ran off somewhere. I was the last one in so I closed the door behind
me. I looked up at the stairs to find Tiffany walking down the stairs in
a pink dress with butterflies all over it. She was smiling widely.
"HI GUYS!" she said happily.
Howie, AJ, and I all looked at each other confused
and surprised to find her so happy.
"Um hi," I said. "Why are you so happy?"
"Hey guys," a way to familiar guy said walking out
of the living room and wrapping his arm around Tiffany's shoulder.
"OH MY! SWEET MOTHER OF JESUS!" I yelled backing
away.
"HOLY SHIT!" AJ yelled with his eyes wide in shock.
Howie just stared at him in shock. I rubbed my eyes and looked again but
he was still there.
"Maybe I should have come out in way that wouldn't
have surprised them as much," Brian said to Tiffany. He took his arm off
her and took a step toward us.
"DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" AJ yelled.
"Guys you are overreacting! It's me! Brian!" Brian
said.
"UM I DON'T THINK SO! BRIAN IS DEAD!" I yelled.
"I got my life back. It's me, I'm back and I'm here
to stay," Brian said smiling slightly. Howie looked at me with wide eyes
and AJ just stood there in a position like he was ready to do Kung Fu on
Brian. I swallowed hard and looked back at Brian. Tiffany stepped forward
and put her hand on his shoulder. He smiled at her and then looked back at
us.
"It's really him you guys," Tiffany said smiling.
"It's nice to see you all again," Brian said. I looked
at him for a couple of more minutes and then stepped forward and embraced
him in a hug.
"It's so good to see you again Cuz!" I exclaimed.
Brian laughed and hugged back. I pulled back and just smiled at him. I swear
I was about to cry.
"Move out of the way!" AJ said pushing me to the side.
AJ hugged Brian and after that so did Howie. I watched in complete happiness
as the guys talked and laughed with Brian. It looks like all our prayers
have been answered.
