Chapter 58
That Night
Brian's View
I quietly opened the bedroom door and walked in to
find the room dark. I closed the door behind me and made my way to the bed.
I looked at a peaceful Tiffany and smiled. I kissed her forehead and started
to get ready for bed.
"Bri?" Tiffany said sleepily.
"It's me baby," I said quietly.
"It's real late, where were you?" she asked.
"I was watching a movie with the kids," I said.
"Oh...are they all in bed?"
"Courtney is and Jason went to bed a little before
I came up here. Christian and Michelle are downstairs playing some video
games. I told them to go to bed soon so they should be going to sleep soon,"
I said going over to the bed and getting under the covers. Tiffany snuggled
up next to me and I wrapped my arm around her kissing the top of her
head.
"Everyone is going to come over tomorrow is that OK?
Kev called and said he wanted to get everyone together for sort of a party
type thing."
"So it's going to be here?" she asked.
"Yeah so we gotta get up pretty early. Is that OK
with you?"
"Yeah is perfectly fine," she said.
"That's good...I just wanted to check with you first.
I know you're almost going to have the babies soon and I don't want to put
stress on you."
"Nope, no stress on me."
"That's good."
"I mean why would I have stress? You're going to be
doing all the work," she said. I could tell she was smiling. I lightly laughed,
"I guess I am."
"I'll help out a little bit," she said.
"OK," I said.
"CHRISTIAN I WON!" Michelle yelled.
"What the hell are they fighting about now?" I
groaned.
"NO YOU DIDN'T! I WON!" Christian yelled.
"God dammit...they're going to wake up Courtney and
Jason," I said getting out of bed.
"Help me up," Tiffany said. I helped her out of bed
and we headed downstairs. I walked in the living room with Tiffany right
behind me.
"Christian you know I won! It says it right there!"
Michelle said angrily.
"What the hell is going on here?" I said
irritated.
"Oh um sorry dad," Christian said.
"We're trying to sleep!" I yelled.
"Sorry but Christian won't admit that he lost!" Michelle
said.
"Ssh...You're going to wake Courtney up," Tiffany
said.
"Go to bed now," I said. Christian turned the Nintendo
off and Michelle and Christian got up and climbed the stairs pushing each
other occasionally.
"It can't be normal for them to fight like that,"
I sighed.
"It is believe me!" Tiffany laughed.
"My head is about to burst," I mumbled. Tiffany walked
over to me and rubbed my back.
"Let's go to bed. We have a big day tomorrow," Tiffany
said heading toward the stairs. I nodded and turned the lights off and walked
up the stairs. Tomorrow is going to be busy for me but it's going to be a
lot of fun too.
