Chapter 5
(In Orlando in Kevin's house, with the guys-Next
morning)
"So what did you tell Celine about the song you wrote?" Brian asked
"I told her that she had to hear it at the album premiere." Kevin stated
"She didn't ask too much about it."
"Sounds just like her." Nick said laughing
"So Nick are you ready to get MARRIED?" AJ laughed hysterically
"Hello at Least I'm making a commitment you big dork." Nick said seriously
"That leaves Brian and me single after whenever." AJ said calming down
"When are you getting married HOWARD?" Kevin asked apparently still half
asleep
"Whenever I get married KEVIN." Howie stressed
"I don't want to start anything," Nick pressed on "but why can't Christina
attend the wedding?"
"Nick I don't want to get into this issue." Howie said trying to avoid an
full fledged argument
"No Listen to me," Nick stated "She is going to be my wife and I am not attending
a wedding without her."
"Well then don't attend," Howie said "Krysten doesn't want Celine there and
I am not going to making her be there."
"What did Christina ever do to Krysten that she doesn't want her there,"
Nick said "She is the one who gave Krysten a job and she's the one who bailed."
"Oh well," Howie said "Don't let Krysten ruin our friendship."
"Well it's gonna end up that way," Nick said "We can't have this between
us."
"Ok," Kevin yelled "Please stop."
"Sorry." Nick muttered
"Listen," Kevin said "I am going to head to the recording studios and if
any of the fellow backstreet boys would like to come with me then lets go."
"I'm fleeing." Nick said getting up and grabbing his coat "I'm not staying
in here for five more minutes."
Nick and Kevin walked to the car. Kevin could feel the tension building up
inside of Nick and knew that it would be smart to leave before he said something
he'd regret later.
"Nick do you know what's going on between Christina and Krysten?" Kevin asked
"I wish someone did." Nick muttered
"Howie had told me before that Krysten is jealous of Christina's fame and
fortune," Kevin said "It's sad to think she can't be friends with someone
because of their status but she can be friends with someone like my wife
who doesn't stand out in the spotlight, when Krysten wants to be the center
of attention."
"Well I can't worry anymore," Nick said "I've got to keep bsb alive."
"Good Guy," Kevin said starting the car "What time is Christina going to
be on Rosie today?"
"Three baby," Nick laughed "We are SO taking a break."
"Did you notice you are talking like our better halves?" Kevin laughed
"Do you realize you sound like your forty?" Nick asked laughing
"Well almost." Kevin laughed
All of the guys finally arrived at the studios about an hour later. They
recorded about three more songs. Soon it would be time to go back home before
the wedding!
(In New York backstage preparing for Rosie)
"What do you think I should wear?" Christina asked
"Wear the blue capris with that shirt." Celine said pointing
"Cool." Christina said grabbing it "Do you think I should sing What a girl
wants or Genie in a bottle?"
"Both!" Celine laughed
The girls gabbed and gabbed until Rosie came in.
"Hello Girls." Rosie said
"Hello Rosie," Christina said smiling "Nice to meet you, this is Celine,
Kevin's wife."
"Kevin what a cutie-patootie." Rosie said in her accent
"Thanks." Celine said blushing
"Looks like you have something on the way." Rosie said pointing to her stomach
"Yeah we do." celine laughed
"Well I just wanted to come and talk to you Christina," Rosie said "Can you
do an extra song or interviews or so because we had a cancel out!"
"Oh sure." Christina said "It'd be my pleasure."
"Alright we're on in five." Rosie said going back out
The girls finished up and Celine went and sat in the audience. Much to her
surprise were a lot of young kids and parents and teenagers. This hopefully
turned into a good show.
A little girl about four was up to doing the introduction. Celine remembered
her from when she had first met kevin. that was the little girl that was
so adorable!
"Hi I'm Becca and I'm four years old and I'm from Virgina and on today's
show is Christina Agewera (four year old pronon.) and a day in the life of
a Backstreet friend, now here's rosie."
Celine was smiling. This was the girl that had touched her heart! She was
so sweet and innocent! After the show she Had to talk to her and her mom.
"Hey everyone," Rosie started "Becca's right we have Christina Aguilera and
a Backstreet Friend."
"Very cool." John notioned
"Lets get things started, welcome Christina Aguilera." Rosie said standing
up
Christina walked out smiling. She looked so thrilled to have finally made
it on the Rosie show.
"Hi Rosie." Christina said plopping in the chair
"Hey Christina," Rosie said "So what are these rumors I've been hearing?"
"Rumors?" Christina laughed "What are they?"
"That rumor about you and the cute blonde kid from that group." Rosie said
"That group?" Christina said laughing "What are they saying?"
"They're saying you're getting married." Rosie said getting serious
"Yes it's true," Christina sighed laughing "Sorry everybody I am getting
married!"
"Well that's good for you then," Rosie said "Just not for the guys and girls
out there."
"I'm sorry I still love them all!" Christina said blowing the screen a kiss
"So when are the big days planned for?" Rosie asked
"In a month actually," Christina said "I'm taking two months off because
I'm helping my fiance's friends wife out right now and then I want a month
away from being married."
"Who might your friend be?" Rosie asked knowing
"She's here," Christina said "She's sitting right there."
"Lets bring her up then." Rosie said going to get her
Celine looked stunned. She couldn't go on Rosie. No one really knew she was
pregnant! This would ruin everything. Hopefully Kevin wasn't mad.
"So what might your name be?" Rosie asked
"Celine."
"Well Celine you're a very pretty girl," Rosie said "Almost as cute as
Christina."
"Thanks," Celine said blushing "You're quite snazzy yourself."
"Hey Rosie she's actually cuter than me." Christina giggled "Anyone that
can pull of that stomach and still look pretty qualifies as the cutest in
my book."
"Oh a Bebe I see," Rosie stated " A little bit of Francais!"
"Yeah I see." Christina said laughing "So am I going to get to sing my song
or not?"
"A little demanding I pressume?" Rosie asked laughing
"Yeah." Christina giggled
"We'll be back with Christina Aguilera and A Backstreet Friend." Rosie said
They went to the commercial break. Celine was sort of mad at Christina for
letting her go up there. What was Kevin going to say? Maybe it would make
him feel better though knowing she was ok. The commercial was almost over.
"We're back with Christina Aguilera and she's going to sing her Smash Hit
"What a girl wants." Rosie yelled
Christian started singing. She changed and altered the words sorta. After
the mind dazzling performance she went and sat back down.
"Great job Christina." Rosie said smiling "That was the best performance
we've ever had here."
"Thanks so much." Christina said laughing
"So are you and Ms. Celine there good friends?" Rosie asked
"Yeah we're together pretty much," Christina said "She's my big sister."
"Not really correct?" Rosie asked
"No but She's like my best friend nowadays!" Christina said
"So Celine who are you really married too?" Rosie asked hinting
"A guy," Celine laughed "A very public guy."
"Would it be that cute brunette with the lucsious eyebrows?" Rosie aksed
batting hers
"Yeah it would be." Celine said laughing
"Well for admitting that," Rosie said "Everyone in the audience will receive
a Backstreet Boys t-shirt and Christina Aguilera fan pack!"
The crowd cheered.
"That's about all of the time we have for today," Rosie said "I'm sorry she
didn't get to sing her last song, but thanks for coming you guys."
"Thank you." Christina said hugging her
"Thanks." Celine said shaking her hand
"Thank you." Rosie said "On tomorrows Show Sarah Michelle Gellar."
They all walked off the stage and Christina's bodyguards came out. She was
signing autographs for people. Then one of the boys bodyguards came out.
She had no clue they had even come with!
"What are you doing here?" Celine asked
"Kevin made me promise to come along." Tom (Not a real one) said
"What a jerk." Celine muttered upset he made a bodyguard come follow her
around new york
Celine walked over towards the little Becca girl.
"Hi Becca I saw you and remembered you do you remember me?" Celine asked
"Yes I do you're Kevin's friend." Becca replied
"Thank you for coming to talk to her," Becca's mom said "She's so afraid
she won't get to meet Christina."
"Oh well Don't worry," Celine said smiling "She'll meet Christina."
"Really?" Becca asked
"Yes why don't you come out of the line and we go back to the green room?"
Celine asked
"Sure only if you insist." Becca's mom said
"I insist." Celine said walking back over to Tom "They are fine to go back
Kevin & I know them."
"Alright lets go." Tom said guiding them back thru
Becca, her mom, and Celine sat down on the sofa.
"So how are you?" Celine asked Becca
"Pwetty good." Becca replied
"I remembered you from when Kevin and I first talked to you," Celine smiled
"I am glad I found someone to talk too I felt kind of lost."
"I am guessing the public spotlight isn't what you're used too?" Becca's
mom said
"Exactly," Celine laughed "Not at all, we've yet to head to any award shows
together."
"Oh boy that's when it'll hit you." Becca's mom said
"yeah well I doubt i will be at them anytime soon," Celine said pointing
"It'd not be something to take one too."
"Exactly." Becca's mom laughed
"Let me check where Chris is I'll be back." celine said getting up to go
check
Celine walked and grabbed Christina so they could hurry up and fly out of
New York as soon as possible. Plans had changed and they weren't needed to
stay in NY longer.
"Christina this is Becca." Celine said introducing her
"Hi becca how are you?" Christina asked smiling
"Fine tank you." Becca said smiling
"Did you want me to sign anything?" Christina asked
"My picture pease." Becca smiled
"Can you also get a picture with her?" Becca's mom asked
"Sure come here." Christina said sitting Becca on her lap
They talked for a while and then they left. Christina was glad it was a little
girl who appreciated her for her! Not because she was dating that cute blonde
guy.
(At the airport)
"So Tom why did you come along?" Christina asked sensing Celine was upset
"Kevin and the rest of the guys asked me too." Tom stated "They left me behind."
"Don't lie to me." Christina said
"I was staying in Denver because Kevin didn't want me." Tom said backing
up
"I said don't lie Tom," Christina said getting a stern look "Why did you
come?"
"Ok Ok OK," Tom shushed "Kevin had me fly up to check on her."
"YOU MEAN HE SENT SOMEONE TO CHECK ON ME?" Celine yelled
"Yes." Tom said
"GOSH," Celine moaned "I'm PERFECTLY fine."
"I'm flying back and I was supposed to tell you if you want to come along
you're welcome." Tom said
"Lets see," Christina said "No."
"WHy not?" Tom asked
"I agreed to stay away from the guys so I could breath a little," Christina
moaned "We are going back to Denver and we are going to have a good month."
"Oh well," Tom sighed "The album premiere is a week before your wedding."
"No." Christina sighed "tell Nick NO."
"Guys ouch." Celine cried sitting down
"What?!?!?" Christina and Tom said rushing to her
"My stomach hurts." Celine moaned
"You're not going into whatever that is are you?" Christina asked
"No all of a sudden my back hurt." Celine sighed
"This so changed my aspect of going back to Denver," Christina said "We are
going to Orlando because if you are going to go into whatever gosh darn it
what is that called?"
"Labor." Celine said
"Yeah that I don't want to be the only person there." Christina said "Tom
grab her stuff, where are my Protectors?"
"Here." They repeated
"Help get her up." Christina said "Change in flight plans."
They all got on a plane to Orlando. This wasn't what Christina had wanted
but what else was she to do? She was only 19 for pete's sake and NO experience
whatsoever in this type of situation.
