Chapter 12
LOSING SOMEONE
(Back to the main base)
Kevin walks out
from the Main Base, ready to be sending back to his base. He
hold his hand tightly with his handcuff. Suddenly, he saw Howie and Brian
drove towards him. And more worse, he saw Howie’s chest bleeding! He quickly
ran to reach the jeep.
“Brian! Howie! What’s happening with you guys?” ask Kevin.
“Kev, the
Tangs is going to blow this city up three days later at 10:31am.
The bomb was located at the Watch Tower. Just don’t let the clock struck
more than the number six,” Howie try to tell Kevin even though he’s
too weak
to speak, “Kev, this is my last order… stop… them…”
Howie’s head falls on
Kevin’s shoulder.
“Howie, Howie don’t die! Please!” Brian shakes Howie’s body.
“Yes, sir,” Kevin salutes Howie greatfully.
Kevin put Howie
down and covered Howie with his jacket. Suddenly, Tiger and
his five parties arrived. Kevin, Brian and the other soldiers quickly jumps
behind the jeeps to protect themselves.
“Open my handcuff!” Kevin orders the soldiers.
“But…”
“Quick!!” Kevin shouts out.
The soldier takes
out the keys. However, when he’s just about to set Kevin
free, he was shot. Kevin quickly takes the keys and set himself free. He
takes the gun at the soldier’s uniform. He saw a walkie-talkie in the army’s
jeep. He quickly reach it and ran to another jeep. He saw Brian hiding at
another jeep besides him.
“Brian, run! Get away from there!” Kevin shouts.
“No! I’ll join you! I know I can help you!” Brian ignores.
“You’ll die!” Kevin shouts back.
“I rather
die than living ten thousand years without Howie and you!” Brian
replies.
“Stubborn!
Come on, follow me!” Kevin quickly ran inside the chamber. Brian
followed him.
Brian and Kevin reached a fine place. Kevin quickly take out the
walkie-talkie which he’d took from the jeep before. He try to dedicate
the
machine to another machine.
“AJ, do you read me?” Kevin said.
“I read you, roger,” AJ replies.
“AJ, this is me, Kevin,”
“Kevin? Where are you?”
“It’s a long story. Can I meet you?”
“Sure, where?”
“At my basement chamber,”
“Certainly. Wait for me there,”
Kevin close up
the machine. Then he turns to Brian. However, he was shocked
to see Brian’s left arm’s bleeding.
“What’s happening to you?” ask Kevin.
“Nothing serious.
I was shot when I’m joining Howie to defeat the Tangs,”
said Brian.
“Is it hurt?” ask Kevin.
“Not as serious as Howie,” Brian said.
“No, Brian.
I’d lose Howie, I don’t want to lose you now,” Kevin take
Brian’s left hand, “I’ll medicate you when we reach our basement,”
