Chapter 5
Sam~
The clock struck 10 and yet Brian wasn't back yet. I sat on my bed, trying to figure out what to say to him when he came back. Maybe I was too tired and fell asleep without knowing it.
A loud knock on the door pulled me out from my dreamland. Another - a louder one, followed it.
"Sam, are you in there?" Oh, no! It was Brian. I hadn't make up what to say to him, how to explain to him and most importantly I was scared. Being scared that Brian would rant and rave at me again.
"Sam, I know you are in there. Come out."
"No!" I covered myself up with the blanket, trying to hide. Brian opened the door and came in.
"What are you doing?" I peeped through the blanket and saw him walking towards the bed. I held the blanket even tighter.
"Come out." His voice was firm.
"No, I'm not coming out!"
Without any trouble, Brian pulled away the blanket.
"What do you think you are doing?"
I grabbed a pillow and covered up my face. Still, Brian pulled that away too. Without anything else to cover myself, I put both my hands on my face and lied down.
"That's enough. Stop playing hide and seek. Or else, I will be angry again."
"No, no! Don't get angry." I quickly took my hands off.
"I'm sorry I made you scared," he said with a sigh.
"No, no. It's my fault. I'm sorry Brian though sorry doesn't mean anything now. Sorry. Please forgive me. I really don't mean to hurt you. I shouldn't have…"
"Okay, okay dear. I know. Stop blaming yourself."
"But I hurt your feelings."
"It does not really hurt when the person you love did something disappointing to you, but it really hurts when you see that person in pain and sadness." Once more I saw the peacefulness in his eyes. Only then I was relieved.
"You…still act like a child…"
I put my arms around him and gave him a tight hug.

Brian~
There was no doubt that Sam had been deriving more
support and love from her fans. I knew the day when she would reach her shining
form would come and it did. Not because of her cute look but for her talents
in music.
