Chapter 6
I sat in front of the piano and played the song. Everything seemed so perfect.
"Eriko," Ryan called out for me.
"Don't call me Eriko anymore."
"But we're now at home. Only you and me."
"Isn't this song perfect?"
"Yeah, it's."
"Brian composed the song and I wrote the lyrics."
"Yeah. A perfect match."
"What are you talking about?" I tried to avoid his gazes."
"You have fallen in love with him, haven't you?"
"No. He's just a friend and my manager. I admit that I admire him very much, but…"
"I'm not any fair-weather friend. I'm Ryan Scholes - the Ryan who understand Eriko more than she understands herself. Remember, I'm already part of you." I couldn't utter a word.
"You love him, don't you?"
"I don't know. Stop pestering me."
"Eriko, your eyes have betrayed you." I looked away. He was right. My everything couldn't escape his wise eyes.
"But you don't want to tell me, I won't force you. You'll tell me when the time comes."
"I thought it was only admiration. I am gravitated towards him. Never did I notice that it's love. A subdued love," I stopped and took a deep breath,
"I love him. So what? He doesn't know and he will never know."
"Tell him then."
"Look at me, Ryan. To him I've always been Sam, not the Eriko that you know."
"I know it's hard on you."
"But I'm happy. Believe me. As long as I can be by his side, I'm contented."
"It's up to you," Ryan sighed,
"So, where is the thief now?"
"What thief?"
"The thief who has stolen your heart."
"He's on his BSB tour. Will be back in two weeks."
"That's the time when your first single will be released."
"Yeah."

"Sam! Sam! Sam! We love you!" I heard the fans shouting themselves hoarse over me! This was my first live performance. As usual, I had that butterfly in my stomach.
My performance would the opening for the BSB concert. All the time, I was holding Ryan's hand. I needed his courage.
"Sam, stay cool. I am here for you and I believe you're going to make it."
