Nick's View
"Um so Darlene how are you?" I asked. We were walking around the park for like 5 minutes and I was the first on to speak.
"Oh I'm fine! What about you?" she asked.
"I'm doing pretty good. So I hear your boyfriend broke up with you," I said. She looked at me surprised.
"I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have brought that up."
"No it's OK," she said. "Really"
"I still shouldn't have brought it up."
"It's OK," she laughed.
"If you say so," I smiled. I really like her laugh.
"So what has Tiffany said about me? Nothing bad I hope," she giggled.
"Nope! All the things are good! She just said how fun and nice you are," I said but she didn't mention how beautiful you are.
"Really? I would have never thought Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys would even know that I exist!" she laughed.
"I'm just a normal guy," I shrugged.
"That's what Tiffany tells me, "she laughed. "But think about it Nick. Imagine you being a really really big fan of somebody famous. How would you react if you ever met them?"
"Calmly"
"Yeah right!"
"OK I lied! I guess I would be nervous and excited. It just that fans sometimes go nuts on you and it's like get way from me!" I laughed. She laughed with me.
"I really like your laugh," I said.
"Thanks," she said blushing a little bit.
"Don't blush! I was just complementing you!" I laughed.
"Yeah well I don't take complements well."
"I've noticed," I smiled.
"HAHA!" she rolled her eyes.
"God your pretty," I said. She looked at me shocked.
"OH MY GOD! Did I just say that out loud?" I asked turning red.
"Yeah you did," she smiled.
"Oops!"
"Thanks," she said. "It really means a lot coming from you."
"No problemo," I smiled.
Darlene's View
I can't believe he just said that I was beautiful! I'm going to faint!
"Darlene?" Nick asked.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"UM…I was wondering if maybe…" he sighed. "Would you go out with me some time?"
AAAAAAHHHHHH! Did he just ask me out? Stay calm!
"Um yeah I would love to," I smiled. I was about to run up and down the sidewalk screaming.
"Great!" he said. "I was afraid you would say no."
"Why would I say no?" I asked.
"Because a lot of people think that I'm really immature and I thought maybe you didn't like me it that way."
"Well I do," I said. Oops! That just slipped out!
"You do?" he asked shocked.
"Yeah I do," I said. I could feel my cheeks warm up.
"So do I," he softly said.
"You do?" I asked.
"Yeah I think you're really nice. Why else would I ask you out?" Nick asked.
"You got a point," I said.
"So I'll pick you up tonight at 8 OK?" he asked.
"Yeah! I can't wait!"
"Darlene! Help me!" I heard Tiffany scream. I looked up and saw Tiffany running away from Brian. Brian was chasing her with a stick in his hand. Tiffany ran behind Nick and jumped on his back.
"Protect me Nicky!" Tiffany said.
"Come down you evil demon! I must kill the!" Brian said playfully.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked.
"Playing! What does it look like?" Brian asked.
"Nothing," I laughed.
"I'll save you mommy!" Michelle screamed running over to Brian and stomping on his foot.
"OW!" Brian yelled.
"HEHE!" Michelle giggled.
"I'm gonna get you!" Brian yelled. Michelle screamed and ran off. Brian ran after her and Tiffany jumped off Nick's back and chased after Brian.
"Don't you lay one hand on my daughter you evil scum!" Tiffany laughed.
They are so funny! I hope one day I'm that happy. I really do hope so.
