Chapter 27
7:45PM
Darlene's View
"Tiffany! I look horrible! My hair is all screwed up!" I yelled from the bathroom.
"Hold on!" Tiffany yelled from my bedroom.
"OK what's wrong?" she asked coming into the bathroom.
"My hair's a complete mess! HELP!"
"Calm down girl!" she laughed.
"Don't laugh! This is very important to me!" I said.
"OK! Let me see what I can do," she said.
20 Minutes Later
Nick's View
I just arrived at Brian and Tiffany's house and I'm getting really nervous. I'm sitting in the living room waiting for Darlene to come down and Brian's sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Where is she?" I asked impatiently.
"Upstairs. I've been hearing her yell at Tiffany for like 2 hours! From what I can hear her hair is messed up and her outfit looks horrible on her," Brian laughed.
"Why do girls worry so much about their looks?"
"I don't know! I'll have to ask Tiffany that later," he laughed.
"Good idea," I said. Just then I heard someone coming down the stairs. I turned to see who it was and it turns out that it's just Tiffany.
"Hi Nicky!" Tiffany smiled.
"Hey, where's Darlene?"
"Oh she's upstairs still. She'll be down in a second," she smiled.
"Um hi," Darlene said walking in behind Tiffany. WOW! Darlene's wearing a black mini skirt, a blue halter-top with black clogs. Her hair is curled and it has butterfly clips holding up half her hair and to top it all off she has a little eye shadow and some lip gloss. She's so beautiful!
"WOW!" Brian said looking at Darlene wide eyed. Tiffany smacked him on the head.
"OW! Tiff! You're still more beautiful! I just said that because you did a wonderful job with her outfit and hair!"
"Thank you," Tiffany smiled.
I got up and went over to Darlene and I gave her the roses that I got for her. "You look beautiful tonight."
"Thank you Nick!" Darlene said taking the roses and smelling them.
"I'll take those and put them in a vase," Tiffany said.
"K," Darlene said handing the flowers to Tiffany. Tiffany then went off towards the kitchen.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said.
"K," I said taking her hand and leading her to the front door.
"Bye Bri! Bye Tiffy!" I yelled before I closed the door. I led her to my BMW and opened the door for her. She got in and I closed the door. I went over to my side and got in. Right when I turned the car on the Darlene turned the radio on.
"I hope you don't mind," she said.
"No it's fine," I smiled. I put the car in gear and pulled out of the driveway. God please let tonight go well.
