Chapter 5
AJ, Nick and I pretty much spent the entire day unpacking and getting me settled in. AJ took me grocery shopping for my favorite foods and my choices of beverages. Then around an hour ago AJ's girlfriend came over and now they are on their way out the door to go clubbing.
"Princess if you need me we have my cell and Amanda's cell on okay, don't hesitate to call" AJ told me.
"Yeah, babe, if you need either of us just call and we'll come back." Amanda looked me strait in the eye and said.
"I GOT it guys, just go, Nick and I'll be fine, or did you forget that Nick IS here with me too, I'm sure we'll be fine!!"
"Okay, I'm leaving, have fun with Nick and don't do anything I wouldn't do, heck, don't do anything I WOULD do!!!"
"Funny Pooh, GO, have fun and party!!" with that I pushed them out the door.
"Nick! Their gone!!!" I yelled to Nick who had been upstairs ordering a pizza for him and I to share.
"Got it Christy!!" He yelled back at me. Then I saw him run down stairs towards me. Still trying to catch his breath he said to me, "Tonight I wanna learn about you okay, and I'll answer your questions too. I am closest in age to you than any of the other guys and I think it would be really great if we became real close okay??"
"Yeah, Nick, that would be wonderful, thank you for making me feel so welcome here."
"Hey, I'm only doing what comes naturally!!" He replied. DING-DONG!!! DING-DONG!! "Oh that's the pizza let me get it and then we can start our night okay??"
"Fine with me Nick!!"
"Mmmmmmm, I LOVE pizza Nick!!!"
"Me too!!! It's got to be my favorite food ever!! I live on pizza!!"
"So, now I know ya like pizza, what do you do in your spare time??" I questioned
"I like Nintendo a LOT!! I love to play. What about you??"
"I don't know, lately I haven't had much of it, well, with funeral plans, the will to go over, the signatures, but when I do have a spare second, I like to dance. I try to dance every morning, you know, it warms me up and puts me in a good mood, not to mention I stay in shape!! I also LOVE to read, it's one of my all time favorite things to do, I just get lost in my books, pretend I'm not here anymore and go places my books take me."
"Wow, I can feel for you, I love to read too, it's nice to get away sometimes huh??"
"Yeah it is"
That was the first real conversation Nick and I had, it was the start of
a beautiful friendship. He and I talked late into the night about our fears
and our fantasies and anything and everything else. Later AJ told me that
when he had got home he found Nick and I asleep in each other's arms on the
couch.
