December 26th 10:30am
Ring……Ring…… "I'LL GET IT!! IT'S MY BIRTHDAY I GET
PRIORITY!!!" I yelled at AJ
"GOTCHA PRINCESS, I WAS GONNA ASK YOU TO ANSWER IT ANYWAY!!!!!" AJ yelled
back at me
"Hello??" I said breathlessly
"Hey you!! Happy birthday to you…happy birthday to you….happy birthday
dear Christy happy birthday toooooooo you!!" Nick sang to me.
"Thanks so much Nicky, you just brightened my day 100% I am totally missing
you!! I don't know how much longer I can go without hearing you crack a joke!!"
"Yeah, I know, me too!! But, hey only about 3 more days huh??"
"Yeah!!"
"Okay, well, Aaron is jumping on my foot trying to get me off the phone so
we can go do something!! Hey, I really miss you and can't wait to see ya
again!" Nick said to me
"Thanx, and say hi to Aaron for me."
"I will."
"Hey Nick??"
"Yeah??"
"I miss you too."
"thanks. Bye birthday girl!!"
"bye" and then I got a dial tone.
"Hey Princess, I'm gonna take ya out to lunch and then I'll take you to the
airport okay??" AJ said telling me the plans for the day
"Yeah" I said quietly
"Hey what's wrong Princess, who was on the phone??" AJ asked
"It was Nick, nothings wrong, I'm just kinda touched that he called me that's
all" I said, AJ smiled warmly at me as if he knew something I didn't and
with that he offered his arm
"Your chariot awaits my princess." I took his arm and we were off for the
day.
"Pooh, I just thought of the weirdest thing ever!!" I said as we were munching
down on some fries at the airport waiting for my boarding call.
"What's that Princess??"
"Well, we've been together for 5 months and I've nearly lost my southern
accent!!" I said, a little southern twang evident still.
"Believe you me Princess you haven't!!" He said
"you sure? Cause' I want my gal pals to still recognize me and well, with
this new hair cut (I had cut my long sandy blond hair to my shoulders and
layered it about 1 month ago) and the new clothes you and the guys helped
me buy, I don't know if they will." I said to AJ
"Gosh, stop worrying!!! You haven't lost the accent and they'll recognize
you!! Believe me!!"
FLIGHT 2998 TO LEXINGTON KENTUCKY NOW BOARDING AT GATE A
My flight number was boomed over the loudspeaker.
"Well, princess, have fun with Bri and Kev and your gurlies and I'll see
ya in a few okay??"
"Yeah, Pooh, I'll have fun!!" I said, I got up gave him a hug and then he
slipped a small package into my hand and told me to open it in the plane.
As I sat in my first class seat (one of AJ's presents to me, he said that
you haven't been treated properly until you splurge on a first class seat)
I looked down at the package and opened it, in it were three wrapped gifts,
I now understood why AJ told me that my birthday wasn't over!!! I slowly
unwrapped each gift and then peered down on all three, they were three framed
pictures- one of me and AJ at Disney with Pooh and Tigger and it was in a
frame that had the Disney Princesses on it. One of me with all they guys
in front of Cinderella's castle and it was framed in a frame that had Tinker
Bell and sparkles on it. And the last one made me laugh so hard, it was me
and Nick, we had our eye brows raised and we looked like we were ready to
get into some mischief with our Disney mouse ears on, the picture frame was
a simple pale blue color with an inscription in small pale lavender letters
on the bottom it read 'we're your typical little angels'.
