Chapter 17
Dear Journal,
I am so confused. From the start I thought that
my relationship with Nick was like a brother-sister thing. I mean we act
like brother and sister right? That's what I thought until tonight when I
put on one of his shirts that smelled like him, I got dizzy and realized
that I really love him, I am IN love with him.
Gosh, why did my life have to get like this? Nick
would never think of me as anything more than a sister, now I have to go
through the torture of seeing him and having feelings that I know he won't
ever return! I just love him, plain and simple, I love him.

I put my journal down and went to bed.
Next morning-
"Hey peach pit, you gonna sleep in today?" Said a voice. Nick I thought,
gosh it's good to hear his voice again. I slowly opened my eyes to my angel,
I wish he was my angel anyway.
"Naw, I just though I'd get some extra hours since I thought ya'll wouldn't
be home till later this afternoon, by the way what are you doing home?" I
asked.
"We decided to catch an earlier flight" Nick said thoughtfully.
"Okay, well, I better get goin' don't want AJ having a cow if you kept me
here all day!!" I said, knowing full well that I just didn't want to be in
the same place with Nick AND my feelings at the same time.
"Okay babe, I'll put your stuff in the car." Nick said.
"Thanks" I told him.
AJ's house-
"Pooh!! I'm going out on a date tonight!!" I yelled at AJ.
"With who? What time? Where? You'll be home by curfew right?" AJ shot question
after question at me.
"Jason Kallahan, 6:15, to dinner, and YES!" I answered all in one breath.
Jason Kallahan was someone I actually met through a friend, Jason and I were
good friends (not as good as me and Nick, but who can compare?) Jason pestered
me to DEATH until I finally agreed to a date, I do love Nick but Jason did
ask me about a month ago for this date.
6:15 that evening-
"PRINCESS JASON'S HERE!!!!" AJ yelled at me.
"I'm comin I'm comin!" I said walking down the stairs. "Hi Jason!" I said
as I peered over AJ's shoulder.
"Hey Christy!" Jason said.
"Okay AJ, I'll be home no later than 10, if you need me, I'm on my cell,
you know the number right?" AJ grinned at me shaking his head.
"What?" I asked
"Nothing, it's just your so responsible, gosh, I don't even have to give
you the third degree, and I was soooo looking forward to giving it to you!"
AJ said acting sarcastic.
"I'm sure you were, anyway, we better go."
8:15 at the restaurant-
"Yeah, I got it AJ, Nick is coming over, you have to go out, that's fine,
will he be staying the night?" I asked. I was in the ladies room talking
to AJ on my cell, he had called, Amanda needed him she was going through
a family crisis and she wanted him there.
"Yes, I don't think I'll be able to drive back that late so I'm gonna crash
at her place tonight okay?" he asked.
"That's fine, go and help Amanda and send her my regards. Oh and tell Nick
that there is a book on my bed that I just finished and that I think he should
read." I said referring to a book I had just finished, it was wonderful,
and I think that Nick would really enjoy it.
"Okay I will, don't be home any later than 10 okay??" He told me
"Yeah, don't worry, we're wrapping things up now." I said.
"All right Princess, thanks for understanding, I have to go, love you." AJ
said to me.
"Love you too." I said and hung up.
