Chapter 23
Brian's View
Tiffany thinks that I ran into Melissa on purpose.
Of course I didn't run into her on purpose. It was a total accident. Oh well
Tiffany seems to just ignore it. We're back at home now and Tiffany's upstairs
taking a nap. She was really tired when we got home. She didn't talk much
on our way home. She just went straight to bed right when we got here. Darlene
and Nick left soon after that so now I'm alone. Michelle is sleeping too.
Nick put her down for a nap about a half an hour ago so I got maybe another
hour and a half of free time. What to do?
Nick's view
"So what did this girl look like?" I asked Darlene
who was on the bed taking out clothes and stuff out of her shopping
bags.
"She was real pretty. Blond hair, blue eyes, tan skin,
big boobs. A real bimbo," Darlene said.
"Did Brian seem to like her?"
"Yeah he bought her a coke and was talking with her.
He was supposed to buy Tiffany and I lunch but he only bought himself
lunch."
"Hmm," I said.
"Hmm what?"
"I dunno. Brian usually doesn't space out on things
with Tiffany. This Melissa must have been a real babe," I said.
"Well, I think Brian thought that."
"We have nothing to worry about. I mean Tiffany and
Brian are engaged, Tiffany's pregnant with Brian's child, they already have
a child together and they are madly in love with each other. I don't think
Brian will cheat on Tiffany ever."
"Yeah maybe you're right," she sighed.
"I'm always right," I smiled.
"Sure you are," she said rolling her eyes.
"I am and you know it," I said.
"Yeah yeah yeah," she said. "So would you ever cheat
on me?"
"No of course not! I love you and you're having my
child. I would never do that. I'm not like that. I know how to treat a lady
and so does Brian so that's why none of you should worry."
"OK then," she smiled. I got up and walked over to
her. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her softly. She kissed
back and wrapped her arms around my neck. I pulled away and rested my forehead
on her forehead.
"I love you and don't you ever forget that," I
said.
"I love you too and of course I'm not going to forget
you love me," she smiled at me.
"Good," I said. "So what do you wanna do?"
"I want you to tell me what you think about all these
things I bought," she said.
"Well...everything is uh...cute," I said looking at
all the clothes and toys.
"Yeah I know but you don't seem to like CUTE," she
said.
"Well, it's fine if we're having a girl but what if
we're having a boy? I don't want cute written all over his room," I
said.
"I'm the mother so I get to make the decisions," she
said.
"NO! I'm the one paying for all of this stuff so I
get to make the decisions," I said.
"No no no no, I'm the one giving birth to our child
so I'm in charge."
"Darlene," I whined.
"What?"
"Come on we gotta compromise here," I said.
"Fine," she sighed.
"The clothes and everything are fine but I get to
design the room OK?"
"OK OK," she said.
"Good glad we got this figured out," I smiled. She
just pushed me playfully.
"I'm gonna get dinner ready. What do you want?"
"Pizza," I said rubbing my stomach.
"PIZZA!? We had that last night," Darlene said giving
me a disgusted look.
"What? Pizza is good. Pwease," I said sticking out
my bottom lip.
"OK! Pizza it is. Just put your lip back up," she
said. I did as she said and smiled. She smiled back and turned around. I
sighed at she walked out the door. This whole baby thing is making me real
nervous. I just can't see myself as a father. Oh well. Everything will turn
out all right. Hopefully.
