Chapter 13
Jason's View
A Couple Days Later At The Airport In Austin
"Jason are you sure this is where Danielle is gonna meet us? I mean they could be in Oklahoma right now for all we know!" Chris exclaimed picking up in bag from in front of him. We were on the plane from Colorado and we just got into Austin, Texas. We were getting our bags and getting ready to un board the plane.
"Chris, chill man, Danielle told me that she would meet us here with a couple of her friends," I said putting my backpack on my back. We walked down the isle and off the plane.
"Whatever you say but all I know is I don't want to be stuck here, it's too damn hot!" he complained. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the terminal and looked around.
"Do you see her?" I asked looking above all the heads passing by.
"Nope, I told you they wouldn't be here!" Chris exclaimed.
"Shut up, she's here somewhere," I said. Chris just mumbled something to himself.
"JASON!" I heard a familiar voice yell. I looked over to where the voice came from and saw Danielle standing on one of the stairs waving her arms around in the air and smiling widely. She looked so beautiful! I saw Colleen and Darlene standing off to the side hiding their faces from embarrassment, I saw another girl laughing lightly to the side and then a guy laughing and looking at Danielle weirdly. He looked so familiar.
"Danielle!" I yelled and started to push my way through the crowd. Chris was struggling to keep up with me. Finally I escaped the crowd, dropped my bag and ran up to Danielle. I wrapped my arms around her waist as she wrapped her arms around my neck and lifted her off the chair hugging her tightly to me.
"I missed you so much," I said into her ear.
"I missed you too," she said and then looked up into my eyes. I put her down lightly and brought my lips to hers, kissing her tenderly. She kissed me back with much feeling.
"I love you," I said pulling away and putting my forehead on hers. She smiled at me up at me and before she said anything else someone interrupted us.
"Enough! I can't take looking at it anymore!" Darlene exclaimed covering her eyes. Danielle and I pulled out of each other's arms and laughed slightly.
"All right, I guess I should introduce all of you," Danielle said.
"Jason, you know Darlene and Colleen," she said pointing to her two best friends. They waved and smiled at me widely.
"That's AJ's girlfriend Sophia," she said pointing to a pretty girl next to Colleen. She smiled and waved to me, I smiled and waved back.
"And this here," she said walking over to the guy that was laughing at Danielle earlier and pulling him up in front of me. "This here is my friend Brian, he's from the Backstreet Boys."
No wonder why he looked so familiar!
"Hello, it's nice to finally meet the infamous boyfriend of my little sis!" he said happily extending his hand. I shook it and said, "It's nice to meet you too and did you just say your little sis?"
"That I did," he smiled. Danielle laughed and said, "It's kind of a long story."
I just smiled at her, "You can tell me later."
"Alrighty and everyone this is Jason's real good friend Chris," Danielle said pointing to Chris. Everyone waved to each other.
"OK, now that we all know each other, lets go get your bags," Danielle said taking my hand and walking toward baggage claim.
Brian's View
"I've heard a lot about you," I said to Jason as we walked over to baggage claim.
"Really? I'm sorry," he laughed lightly.
I smiled and said, "It's not a bad thing, I always talk to Dani about my girlfriend too so we're even."
"Glad to hear but if you ever get tired of hearing it just tell her to shut her mouth," he laughed.
"Hey! How rude!" Danielle said smacking Jason's arm. Jason smiled at her and kissed her cheek wrapping his arm around her. Why do I feel so jealous? I admit I hated seeing them kiss before and each other's arms. I don't know why I feel this way. We're just friends and I should be happy for her. It's not like I'm full blown jealous, I'm just a little jealous that's all.
"Well, we better get back to the hotel," Sophia sighed.
"Yeah we should," I said looking at my watch. We exited the airport and went over to the rental car.
"How long are you guys staying here?" Jason asked getting into the car.
"About 2 days I think, we have to do two concerts and some interviews," I said getting into the drivers seat.
"Man, you guys are sure busy."
"I know but it's all good," I smiled. I started up the car and headed toward our hotel.
Later That Night
"Hey little man," Danielle said coming up from behind me.
"Oh hey little lady, whatcha up to?" I asked.
"I came to get a candy bar, I am in need of some sugar," she laughed. "What are you doing?"
"Getting the same thing," I laughed. I bent down and took out my Milky Way and then stepped aside for Danielle to get hers. She got her candy and then we both walked back to my room.
"Where's Elizabeth?" she asked sitting next to me on the couch.
"I have no idea, I think maybe shopping with AJ or something," I shrugged taking a bite of my Milky Way.
"Why aren't you with Jason?"
"He's downstairs with Chris and Nick playing basketball," she said.
"Basketball!? I wasn't invited! How rude!" I pouted. She rolled her eyes and laughed.
"Nick ran into them when they were going downstairs to play so he kinda just tagged along, wanna go play?" she asked.
"Duh!" I said getting up and grabbing my shoes.
"Lets go! I don't want to miss too much of it!" I said. She laughed at my enthusiasm all the way to the basketball courts downstairs. We entered the court and found Jason, Chris and Nick just shooting balls talking. No real playing was going on.
"Oh thank goodness!" I said dropping to my knees and then laying on my stomach. "I didn't miss anything!"
Danielle just burst out laughing, "You are way too weird Brian!"
I looked over at her from the floor and smiled, she was holding her stomach from laughing so hard.
"Are you trying to kill her or what?" Nick joked coming over to us. Jason and Chris followed.
"I'm not trying to kill anyone!" I said getting up.
"I'm so sure," Nick said rolling his eyes.
"OK, I'm breathing," Danielle said taking a deep breath and waving her hands trying to fan her face.
"Good, I wouldn't want you to die on me," Jason said going over to her and hugging her.
"What if I did?" she asked.
"Hmm...ask Darlene out," he teased. Her mouth dropped open and a hurt expression was shown on her face.
"I was kidding sweetie!" Jason said.
"Uh oh," Nick and I said in unison. Danielle smiled at us and then asked if she could see the ball. Nick tossed it to her and Danielle turned back to Jason.
"Wanna play some B-ball?" she asked smiling innocently at her.
"Yeah but I'll kick your butt," Jason smiled.
"Nope I will, see," she said going over to Jason and then kicked him in the butt. Everyone laughed.
"Ow! Don't kick my butt!" Jason exclaimed.
"I only kick your butt, Brian and Nick's butts are too cute to kick," she teased.
"That's right!" I smiled walking over to her and swinging my arm around her shoulder. "She thinks my butt is sexy! I mean she slapped it saying "Nice butt Littrell!"
Danielle started to turn slightly red. She smacked my stomach and then walked over to the basket.
"She really did that?" Jason asked leaning over to ask me. I nodded my head and laughed, "Yeah but she was only kidding, I like to bug her about it."
Jason smiled and then we both joined everyone by the basket.
"All right, Danielle and I will be on a team and Jason, Chris and Nick will be on a team," I said. Jason looked up at me with a face saying 'What the hell? I want to be on a team with my girlfriend.' I ignored him and everyone go on their team.
"Brian and I are always on a team," Danielle explained to Jason who had a slightly angry face. His frown slightly disappeared and then he nodded.
"I'm gonna kick all of your guys butts!" Danielle said taking the ball from my hands. Everyone rolled their eyes except for me, I joined in with her, "Yep you heard that right! My little sis is gonna kick all your guys butts! She kicks hard so watch out!"
"Lets just play already," Chris whined.
"So impatient," Danielle teased. Finally we started to play and after about an hour or so the score was 42-36.
"WE WON! WE WON! WE WON!" Danielle and I danced around the basketball court. Jason, Chris and Nick were lying on their backs exhausted.
"Thank you thank you thank you, I know I'm good, I'm the queen at basketball," Danielle said bowing to them.
"Jason, you are going out with one weird chick," Chris mumbled. Danielle picked up the basketball and dropped it on Chris's stomach. Chris groaned and rolled over.
"Good job honey," Jason laughed.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Lets go get some ice cream," Nick suggested.
"You and food," I said shaking my head.
"There is nothing wrong with me and food!" Nick whined standing up. Everyone else followed.
"Whatever," I said.
"Leave him alone, he can eat as much as he wants, he needs it to grow," Danielle said patting Nick's stomach.
"Yep, thanks Dani for clearing that up," he said swinging her arm across her shoulder.
"No problemo," she smiled.
"Hey, sorry to do this but I'm gonna take my girlfriend away from you people for a few hours, I hope you don't mind," Jason said taking Danielle's hand.
"No go ahead, I've see enough of her," Nick joked.
"Thanks, I feel so loved!" she said sarcastically.
"You know we love ya," I smiled at her. She smiled back.
"I'm gonna go spend some time with her so I'll talk to you guys later," Jason said leading Danielle away.
"Bye guys!" she waved after us and then she was pulled into Jason's arms. He kissed her cheek and wrapped his arms around her waist. I watched until they disappeared out of view. I frowned to myself and wondered what exactly they were going to do. She is only 16 but you never know what she'll do. I doubt that she would let him do anything to her that she didn't want him to do and besides, he didn't seem like the person to take advantage of her.
I should be happy for them, for Danielle mostly. She was pretty much miserable without Jason and now that he's on tour she's gotten a little happier. I'm happy that she's with Jason but I do feel jealous when I see them together. I'm with Elizabeth and I'm happy and Danielle is with Jason and she's happy but that just wasn't good enough for me. I wish for Danielle to be happy always, I wish for Elizabeth and I having a good relationship, I wish for a lot of things, but at that very moment I wished for something that scared me slightly...right now I wished I were Jason.
