Chapter 16
The Next Week
Danielle's View
Yesterday Jason went back home. His Mom didn't want him gone long because of school and football. He had to go back but he told me he'd call and write like he usually did before he came on tour with all of us. I miss him so much already. I was a waterfall yesterday when he got on that plane and left. I'm glad Darlene and Colleen are here or else I wouldn't be able to deal with it very well.
Anyway, Darlene, Colleen, and I just got done with our afternoon lesson from our tour teacher. I have History and English homework, what fun! I hate how we have to have homework and classes while on tour. It's just stupid in my opinion.
I got to my room which I have alone now. Since Elizabeth came on tour Brian and her share a room and I used to share one with Jason before he left. It's cool though because I have way more room to do things. It gets lonely though with no one to talk to at night.
I opened the door and walked in closing the door softly behind me. I turned on the light and tossed my notebook and folder on the bed.
"BOO!" someone yelled grabbing my sides. I screamed and jumped spinning around ready to punch the idiot who scared me. Brian was hunched over cracking up.
"You...should...have...seen...your...face!!!" he laughed holding his stomach. I put my hands on my hips looking at him. When he saw that I wasn't amused he stopped and stood up straight.
"Sorry but I couldn't resist," he smiled at me. I looked at him once more then sat down.
"What's up?" I asked.
He looked at my stuff on the bed and sat down picking up my folder and looking through it saying, "I was just bored. Elizabeth and Sophia went out shopping with AJ. Nick tagged along with them cause he had nothing else to do and I just stayed here."
"Why didn't you go with?" I asked.
"I wasn't feeling up to shopping. Besides, I haven't done something with you in a while. Now that Jason is gone we could go do something. I asked Denise when you and all the other girls would get out of your classes and she said in a few minutes so I just came up here and snuck in your room. I hope you don't mind," he smiled at me.
I rolled my eyes and said, "Oh I don't mind. You just almost gave me a heart attack that's all."
He laughed and said, "I'm sorry Sis. I didn't think it would scare you."
"I'm a jumpy girl, what can I say?"
"Right, so what is this junk anyway?" he asked shuffling through my papers and throwing some of them on the ground.
"Stop it," I said taking the folder from him. "It's just some homework."
"Homework eh? Have fun!" he teased.
"Yeah," I mumbled putting the folder back down on the bed.
"You're sad aren't you?" he asked.
I looked at him and said, "What ever made you think of that?"
"You're mood," he said nodding his head.
I rolled my eyes and said, "You could say I'm sad."
"I'm sorry Dani, it's not the end of the world. You'll see him again," he said.
I nodded my head and said, "I know but I still really miss him."
Brian rubbed my back and said, "Lets go out and get your mind off of everything."
"Like where?" I asked looking up at him.
Brian's View
"Well, it's only noon so we can do a lot of stuff. How about we go out to lunch at Wendy's or something, then walk around, go shopping. I even here there's an indoor carnival going on a few miles away from here," I said.
She smiled at me and said, "What about the body guards? They'll have to come with won't they?"
"Not exactly," I smiled.
"What are you going to do, sneak past them?" she asked.
"Well, you seem to be real good friends with Ray and Lenny and they're the main bodyguards and everything..."
"You're point being?" she laughed.
"You can distract them while I get the car..."
"How am I going to do that?" she asked. I looked at her for a moment trying to think of something to do and then smiled widely.
"I got an idea..."
15 Minutes Later
Tiffany's View
I stepped off the elevator with a towel wrapped around myself and a beach ball and large bag in hand. Lenny and Ray both turned to look at me and smiled. They were the guards that guarded the elevator that went up to the top floor where we stayed. There's a staircase I know but you need a card to get through it.
"Hey cutie," Lenny smiled at me. I kissed him on the cheek and said, "Hey big guy, how you doin'?"
"Same ol' same ol'," he smiled.
"Hey Ray," I said patting his stomach.
"Hey to your pretty self, what are you doing down here?" he asked.
"I'm getting ready to go swimming with my buddy Brian here," I said pulling Brian out of the elevator. He had his shirt off and he had a towel wrapped around his waist.
"We better get Greg down here to watch you guys then," Lenny said beginning to grab his walkie-talkie. I stopped him by saying, "Oh no! You don't need to do that."
"Yes, we do, it's our job to protect dear Brian over here."
"Yeah but we're only going to go for a few minutes," I said. Ray and Lenny shook their heads and said, "It doesn't matter. A body guard has to be with him where ever he goes, you know that."
"Rayyyyy, PLEASE! Just this once!" I begged. Ray looked over at Lenny and Lenny looked down at me.
"PLEASE!" I pleaded. "We wanna swim alone for once!"
They just stood there thinking it over. I then elbowed Brian in the stomach.
"Ouch," he said under his breath.
"Go," I said quietly. Brian nodded his head, put his glasses on, grabbed the bag and beach ball I had in my hand, and then started to walk off.
"Woah woah woah, where do you think you're going?" Lenny said grabbing his arm.
"He's going to go get us some towels," I explained. Brian nodded his head and said, "That's right."
Lenny let go of his arm and let him go. Brian started for the front desk slowly waiting for me to distract Lenny and Ray.
"So, what do you say?" I asked. Lenny and Ray both looked at me and that's when Brian bolted down the hall toward the door in the back. That's where he was going to get the car parked out back. I was going to go through the pool area, go outside and jump the fence where Brian would supposedly be waiting in the car.
"OK, but don't tell Denise about this or she'll flip. Only this once OK? We're only letting you do this because you're a sweet girl and I think Brian is getting irritated by us," Lenny said. I smiled and then hugged the both of them.
"THANK YOU!" I squealed. I was about to walk down to the pool when Ray stopped me, "Hey, where's Bri?"
"Oh..." I said looking around. "I...I saw him go down to the pool already with the towels."
They both nodded their heads and then went back to guarding the elevator. I sighed relieved and then walked quickly down to the pool area. I opened the door and walked in. A few kids were playing around in the pool but other than that it was quiet. I made my way toward the door that led outside to the outdoor pool which is now closed since it's January. I stepped out into the cool air immediately wished I had a jacket to cover up my shoulders. I heard a car pull up and a door lightly close. Brian then jumped and stuck his head over the fence.
"Come on Dani," he said. I ran over to the fence and climbed over. The car was a green Expedition and pretty new. Brian got dressed quickly that's for sure. He did only have his boxers on underneath the towel. The large bag that I had, had our clothes and shoes inside.
"You sure dressed fast," I said looking at him.
"Yeah well, like I said before I have many skills," he smiled. I laughed and then got in the back of the car. He got in the drivers seat and made his way around the hotel to the street.
"Don't look back here," I said looking up at him.
"I won't," he said.
"OK, thanks," I said.
Brian's View
That was pretty fun! I didn't think it would really work but luckily it did. It got me out of the hotel without a bodyguard by my side. It feels nice to be free for once. Danielle was pretty good at sucking up. She must do it a lot because the guys didn't seem to think that she was sucking up at all.
Right now, I was heading down the street with glasses over my eyes with Danielle in the back getting dressed. Do I need to repeat that again? Getting dressed! My heart was beating rapidly and I was trying to keep my eyes straight ahead. It wasn't working very well. I told her I wouldn't look but come on! I'm a guy and plus I have glasses on so she wouldn't know right?
I looked up in the rear view mirror and saw her pull her shirt over her head. I immediately looked back down. I wanted to smack myself for looking. I wanted to kick myself in the butt. I wasn't supposed to do that and plus I'm in a relationship. You aren't exactly supposed to do that when you're with someone else. But then again, I should be telling myself that when I think about Danielle and what I feel for her. If I'm in another relationship I'm not supposed to love another woman right? That's pretty much the biggest rule in the relationship world but right then and there...I was breaking that rule. I was breaking it hard and it felt pretty damn good.
